As someone who works with cancer and mental illness patients in the cannabis industry I'm going to have to say I'm for it. Lol

Obviously there still needs to be years on years on years of research to see long term effects but it’s also shown to helped people medically. Those suffering with glaucoma, pain from chemotherapy, social anxiety, schizophrenia to name a few.

The way I see it, tobacco and alcohol is worse but legal for “social use” but there’s a huge taboo or misconceptions from the unformed about Marijuana usage.
I support it so long as I’m not getting cloud of smoke splashed onto my face. Do what your heart contents.

I'm against it tbh. I notice that people that smoke it have very similar behaviour like thinking they had conversations with you when they didn't.

Gaining weight. Or feeling very lethargic.
Memory isn't always so great too.
They often use it to help with anxiety and sleepless nights but the sleepless nights only stop temporarily.
Then resume but they never think oh its the weed they think oh let me have some more.
They can become really insular and hermit like.
Irrational and snappy especially if they've not had a fix.
People might say I'm over exaggerating but I also find snoring starts or gets worse...

If they can find a way to calm people without crap effects then Yea.

I think marijuana should be legal for use and purchase with limitations, same as alcohol. However, as a moral, I'm against it. Everyone says it's not addicting, but as a person who's seen too many people become dependant on it whether for their anxiety, or whatever, I know that is a bunch of bullshit. I know a lot of people that smoke weed and all of them do it extremely often and spend a ton of money on it and insist everything is ok and it has no connection to their loss of motivation and because it's become so popular, they all enforce this belief in each other.

Marijuana is a wonderful drug as a treatment for certain diseases, but it's still a drug, its still bad for your lungs, it still creates a lack of motivation in regular users, and it is absolutely addicting.

Compared to cigarettes', marijuana doesn't give people lung and breathing related impairments and illnesses, lung cancer being the primary. Second hand smokers are even liable for the same illnesses. Marijuana, on the other hand, is used in medication, and has been said to reduce anxiety. Better yet, it's a plant, and not a chemically addicted substance.

There is such an amazing amount of money and benefit to be had by regulating the cultivation and sale of Marijuana. Even if you only grow Hemp; it's incredibly useful stuff. Legalizing can cut prison spending, increase tax revenue, reduced pharmaceutical dependence, improve societal mental health. The chaff (unusable parts of the plant) have an extremely high yield for biofuels, and my understanding is that Marijuana is a restorative crop for farmland as well.

I'm a pretty firm believer that electric cars are absolutely not the future, so those biofuels will have considerable benefit. I think electric cars are cute and fun, but there are immense issues of practicality and the environmental impact of producing the cars negates the benefits of driving them. Switch to bio diesel, not electric.

Depends on what you mean by for or against. I think it should be legal, I think people have the right to do it, it also has some medical application which should be looked into.

I also hate potheads because like vegans they spout off about how it cures everything even though it doesn't while saying how much better it is to be a pothead, they consume it in quantities that are unhealthy and rot their brain, they use it to cope with life instead of just developing functional copeing mechanisms, and they smoke to the point were they become less functional then they would otherwise be. Pot heads also cannot handle criticism of pot and act like its gods gift to the universe when all it is is a drug like all the other drugs.

I don't blame pot for that, a pot head is no different then an alcoholic, except the alcoholic isn't telling you how drinking 24/7 is the greatest thing ever and it cures cancer man, google it.

Being for legalization doesn't mean you nessacerily want to smoke it. I'm all for the legalization of any drug, prostitution, abortion, sex bots, guns, etc. because THAT is an actual free market which not a single country in the world has. You can't claim to have a free market with everything available to buy EXCEPT *and then a list of things*. If even one item is on that list, then automatically, a country is only partially free market and is 100% liable for the illegal activities it causes itself as a result., because time and time again it's shown that when something becomes illegal, then there is just a black market that develops anyways. It's fine. Cannabis and hemp were quite common throughout history and throughout the world 'till about 60 years ago. Then a bunch of do-gooder's thought it should be illegal. There are obviously some risk factors that comes with Marijuana but, unless you already have underlying health issues, the potential harm it can cause pales in comparison to other completely legal drugs. Not to mention the medical benefits both THC and CBD has, even if I do still believe that more research is needed to get a clearer and more accurate picture.
Most importantly, making it legal is the only way to make the production and consumption safer for everybody involved. After all, you can't LEGALLY regulate something if the thing you're trying to regulate isn't legal to begin with.
Weed should be legal but treated just like alcohol, with obvious age restrictions and legal repercussions for things like driving while under the influence.

I personally don't like but I support the legalisation of it. I hate the smell and I think it's dirty but with proper laws in place like smoking it indoors and only be allowed a certain dosage. I think it could help the economy massively. The thing is I think the government is scared of positive possibilities marijuana could have.

For most people it's harmless. But in people with psychoactive disorders, or even anxiety disorders (which is a huge portion of the population) it can cause some pretty nasty psychological reactions.

Also, Marijuana doesn't clear out of the blood very quickly. There will still be traces a week after use. Which makes it very difficult to judge a DUI.

As much as I love freedom, I am still quite against the use of drugs, unless you are diagnosed with something and the drug is important for your mental or physical health. If it was up to me, even caffeine wouldn't be sold without a genuine cause, it's a goddamn stimulant and stronger than most antidepressants, that you cannot purchase without having a prescription.

I support medical marijuana and have no issue with recreational marijuana (though I don't use it myself). However, marijuana smoke, just like tobacco smoke, is not good for your lungs. If you're going to use marijuana, you're better off using edible oils or using it in food.
