Have you ever said something you really wished you could take back but couldn't?

Just yesterday my best friend mentioned something to our friend group that was slightly traumatic for him and I started talking about his experience like it was an academic discussion. I wasn't even thinking that he might've been confiding in us and looking for support. It took someone pointing it out how insensitive I was being for me to open my eyes. I felt terrible and apologized profusely. I still feel terrible about it. I'm just oblivious sometimes. Luckily we've been best friends since the age of three so he knows me pretty well and was very understanding.

Yes, years ago couple years after my hubby was diagnosed and we were fighting and he was trying to make me cry by keep bringing up he'd probably die and I actually said then go ahead and do it already 🥺😢I didn't mean it, and didn't mean to say it and apologized the minute it came out, but that's the first thing that popped into my head the morning he died, but once something is said it can never be unsaid..
