I used to. I enjoyed my 20s. I figured once I hit 30, I'd be old, or at least start feeling old.
I'm now 40 and honestly, I still feel like the same guy I was back in my 20s. Sure I got more experience and I don't do the partying up anymore, but I'm still learning, still ignorant about some things.
Finally starting to get some grays here and there, but overall, I have the same fitness and energy I always had.
Body doesn't like some foods I used to like, but I'm not as decrepit as I thought I'd be at this age.
Wouldn't mind staying around 26-29 years old, but meh.
One thing to point out is that the older you get, the more you realise you're still the same kid in school trying to short crap out and all us older people are still just winging it. You gain a bit more perspective towards your parents, whom sometimes come off and knowing everything or always knowing what they're doing.
I’m definitely afraid of getting older. I definitely don’t want to lose my looks and get wrinkles and lose my hair and shit. But I’m more terrified of getting to the point where I need someone to take care of me. There’s elders who can’t walk by themselves, eat by themself, go to the bathroom. Or they get dementia and forget about their loved ones.. If I ever get to that point I hope someone just shoots me. I already hate life now and I’m sick of it, so I don’t know how many more years I can take of this lmao

The WW2 General Of course. I was watching that day a documentary about a WW2 army officer. When he was young he looked stunning and oh boy when he became old its like totally another person the radiance is gone. Something glorious is gone. Now i dont deal with it because i dont know how to cope with getting older and i loath it. As until this moment there is no cure for aging
I don't know if it's so much getting older per se as much as what's associated with old age like health issues, letting yourself go, etc. So if there's some way to mitigate that like trying to stay healthy, fit, and generally looking good, then maybe people wouldn't care as much.

I tell myself that getting older is inevitable and unavoidable, so the best thing I can do is to accept it with grace and aplomb.
When I was younger, 'older' seemed like a long way away. Now that I am 'older', I appreciate everyday. I also take care of my body with exercise and eating right most of the time. DNA has a lot to do with it too.
You can't stay the same, you will age; your body will change.
You can help to stay younger looking and feeling with exercise, eating right, creme's and lotions and magic potions, but you will still age. The alternative is not too good either.
I haven't felt that way yet. So far things have only gotten better as I've gotten older. I've overcome a lot of stuff and I keep feeling more free and feel like I'm getting more agency in my life. Right now I do have a minor injury in my right shoulder and it will prevent me from playing volleyball I'm going to physio therapy but so far it hasn't helped. If this stays like this then I'll definitely be pissed and wish I was younger but everything else is going great so far.
I will be 50 soon. I try to stay in shape but every year it gets harder and harder. Sometimes I get surprised at how I'm not as strong as I used to be. Last summer I had to do some cement work and went to pick up an 80 lb bag of concrete mix. I expected to just start picking them up and stacking them in my truck. It was a lot harder than it was 20 years ago. I guess there is a reason you never see any pro athletes in over 50.

Having just turned 50, many focus is now on end game career and retirement. Suddenly my pension is looking real important. So no, I see it as the next steps to eventual freedom. I have a conceptual life span of 90 so I have a long way to go. Just hope my health holds.
I'm not scared of getting older, I'm scared of getting older and not reaching my goals. I don't want to be 40 and think that I did nothing with my life. It must be frustrating.
@Iron_Man Have a decent job and liking what I do, living in another country, having an house/apartment, a good group of friends that I could count on for everything, being able to travel, and being at peace with myself and the people around me.
being immortal sucks!!! All you see is death around you. People you love, your friends, your family, your pets all die while you live and no one you used to know is alive anymore. And the only way to cope is to meet new people and try to make new friends. It's a vicious repetitive cycle that never ends.
I'm not afraid of getting older. I wouldn't want to stay the same age. Life is all about change and aging is just a part of it.

Definitely, I I don't really cope with it lol. I just deal with it. Sometimes though it will really stress me out. Most times though it is just in the back of my head and I will think of it at random moments lol.
Getting old is just part of Life. It does not bother me because there are a lot of people that did not get the chance to get old. I am grateful for everyday I wake up!
I wish I could find the perfect age to stay at the most sharpest mentally and physically strongest and best looking. That would be the best awesome age
I'd love to stay the age I am now. I try to stay as fit and healthy as possible. Being fit and healthy is more important to me than looking youthful. But hopefully when I'm old I'll look good for my age even if I look old lol
The older I get the better I do with women. So I don't care at all. I just started getting a gray spot in my beard and my girlfriend (who is 18 by the way) thinks it looks sexy.
well I am scared if I got old I loose all my muscle mass, but now I understand you can't stay young forever but can stay healthy by taking care of your routine and taking healthy diet
