How do you celebrate your birthday?

My birthday is this coming Thursday, the 13th. My wife works that day, so we're going out to eat on Friday. I want BBQ baby backs with the fixings and maybe a couple of Mai Tais. :-)
Birthdays aren't a big deal for me at this point, but I've had some memorable ones.
My wife has thrown some surprise parties for me in the past. One year, we invited a bunch of friends to our place for a BBQ.
We've done some other really fun things in our 25 years together.
A couple of years ago, she bought me a ride on an open cockpit, bi-wing airplane. She paid extra for the pilot to do aerobatics, which was a bucket list dream of mine.
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear loves2learn,

For me it seems like every year I do this.
About a week before my birthday. I have to date something or I will be writing the date down.
And I will say to myself first whoever might be standing there or guess what about a week is going to be my birthday.
It might be about three or four days after my birthday I will remember oh my God it was my birthday so then I'll go out and buy some ice cream or cake or I will make a cake and I'll probably eat half of it LOL
A lot of people you asked me how old are you and I will say I don't know
Most of the time if I remember how old I am I will say I am 47 years alive cuz I'm not going to say old until I actually feel it
I haven't really celebrated my birthday since I was of 11 years and in my birthday month August it is the time when I was term 1 exams which means my cousins and friends are free that I can ask for a party. Also I don't want to disturb my parents for a party only. I bake an cake for myself and write a poem to myself and spend the time with myself like best friend because I am my own best friend. Tell myself that how much I have been important for me. Before anyone tells me mental patient please know that I'm the only person I can fully rely on.
I'm not really big into celebrating my own birthday much, my parents never made a big thing of my birthday as a child and I've just not been that fussed about them over the years.
These days I'll usually just invite some friends over for a BBQ as its in the summer. But then its not much different from other times, as I do quite a few BBQs during the summer months anyway.
The last time I did anything special was for my 40th and that was because my ex wife (still married at that point) arranged it, and we went to an upscale restaurant with some friends up town.
happy birthday! ☺️🎉🎈🎂
honestly, i don't like celebrate my b'day with many people. (maybe bcs i'm introvert, I don't know).
but for sure, i'm happy when people still remember my b'day by saying it or through prayer. i appreciate it, no need for a gift, bcs they have become gifts that are still by my side through sadness and joy (and that's my family & people who close to me)
but what if they forget my b'day? nah it doesn't matter, i mean, i've had it a few times. lol
I like to take 2 weeks off work and go back home. During my time at home i travel & visit my friends... Just go out, shop, and have fun.
I'm thinking about going to Japan and/or Italy for my 30th though.
I like to celebrate the "big" numbers such as 26, 18, 21, 25 and 30.
I think it'd be nice to do something you've never done before for your birthday.
I wanted to go skydiving in 2020, but couldn't due to covid lol.
Were your previous accounts here earlier or are you including those?
I like to keep my birthday pretty low key. It's in June so going to my family's lake place and spending a lot of time in the sun with a few friends is definitely on my list.
If we are in town, my husband always goes and purchases from a local meat market that has the best steaks around that were likely harvested/butchered recently and properly aged. If we’re out of town, and the kids aren’t with us, it’s a romantic dinner and date night
Also, our kids always make me the sweetest homemade birthday cards! They love their mommy :-)
I enjoy getting a phone call from me mother. I
t means a lot to me. After all, she's the one who did all of the work: carried me for 9 months, and then endured 20 hours of labor. Otherwise, my birthday is just another day in July.
Casino, movie, dinner, and shopping. This years bday movie will likely be Uncharted. Dinner will likely be this new modern chic steak restaurant that has huge steaks and huge baked potatoes.
Steak and a little bit of the bubbly.
Oh and being left alone and not bothered.
Meaning no calls, no errands, no politics, no family issues, etc...
The thing I don't like about celebrating a bday at a restaurant is driving there and waiting. Then there's other people that might annoy you or you might get a crappy server that forgets things.
Better to just buy a nice cut of steak and cook it yourself. No fuss no problems.
Happy (real) birthday.
I don't make a huge deal of it. I'll go to work and then go to dinner with my wife and friends.
Happy upcoming birthday @loves2learn! 🎂
I usually like to enjoy a special dinner out with my SO and friends.
I really like to underplay it these days , really do very little , depends what is going on --
We had a cake this year ( which I donated straight back for others as I dont eat ) , but I have my new skate board to play with :)
My GaG birthday is Feb 20 . I usually like to ignore my birthday. My wife always bakes me a cake though.
I dont. I have never actually had a good birthday, so i honestly just take the day off, and thats about it.
Let us know so we can sing Happy Birthday to you hahaha
Lol. January 18th.
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday Dear loves2learn
Thank you :)
You're Welcome @loves2learn
In recent years I've eaten cake with my family and gone into my room to hang out with friends on Discord or in an Xbox party, nothing too eventful tbh. Also happy early birthday!
I am confused are you talking about your real birthday or Gag aniverssary?
I’m a January baby myself. This year unfortunately will probably be just me a a couple of close friends celebrating. I would love to have a big party but where I live Covid rules are still strict.
