This actually kind of happened to me. My mother didn't die but she was in a life and death situation. And this just happen to fall on a weekend in the real early morning hours. I called 911 and the first person to arrive was some guy in plain clothes and while we were waiting for an ambulance I asked why he showed up and not an ambulance. And he annoyingly responded that the funding for the service was that good. So on the weekends this is what you might get. You want better service? Fight for us to get better funding. And I was like "my mother's dying right now... ya wanna pitch for funding at another time". I get he was probably frustrated with the situation. But damn lol.

Well stressful and difficult situations can sometimes cause people to make strange comments so I don’t think it would bother me especially considering my life was just saved.
