"Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy" ?

I remember hearing this bullshit sentence fromt a bullshit "doctor" know as Dr. Phil.

A guy was having issues with his wife, and Dr. Phaggot told him "do you want to be right? or do you want to be happy?"

I couldn't believe it. And that called for my attention especially because I was having a lot of arguments with my girlfriend at the time (now ex gf).
It's like, you follow logic, and when you reach an inevitable conclusion, it hurts your partner so much, that you either have to pretend your conclusion is false, or you have to leave.

If you KNEW for a fact you're right, but your partner fails to reach the same conclusion out of ignorance or emotional denial or whatever bullshit reason, would you try to enforce the truth at all costs or not?

I would ALWAYS chose the rational truth over anything
Vote A
I would ALWAYS chose not to hurt her whether I'm right or not
Vote B
I would pretend I'm wrong sometimes, not always, compromising thing
