Let's try this again. My boyfriend obviously doesn't care about me & is disgusted by my body. What should I do?

If you really are having trouble with understanding him, you're better off letting him go. Find someone who says the things you want to hear, y'know? Don't force yourself to listen to him say that you're curvy and that you don't need to lose weight and other things. Another solution could be that you can look within yourself and realize that you may just be pinning the blame on your own boyfriend of not caring or, egad, hating you! When in reality, it's just you? Maybe you're the one who wants the change, not him. Maybe it's you who views it as him, who could have been using his time for other things, instead of trying to talk to you and explain to you that you are beautiful and worth loving. I've done this to my ex before and it all ended in shambles because I thought he was telling me I wasn't good enough even when he kept trying to tell me that I am good enough and more than that but lo and behold, we broke up. If you keep believing it as truth, well damn it's gonna be the truth. So keep saying that he hates you and that he thinks you're ugly so that maybe you can understand that when you wish for it hard enough you can get that ending you wanted! The ending where he leaves you because you know full well he said that he doesn't want you to lose weight but you still do until you destroy yourself and make him feel guilty thus making him believe the best thing for you to both do is split up. Seriously, just get a psychiatrist or break up with him. Sorry if this is kinda mean, but don't do the mistake that I made.

Yeah you sound like you aspire to be anorexic and probably already are despite not being there physically yet. You're bothering the poor guy and he's letting you know you're curvy which is the ideal. You might have psychiatric issues and you don't know what could be going on in his life. People have real problems and you're inventing some because you don't like your own body. Either shut up and take the compliments for what they are and if YOU know that YOU'RE a little thicker than you'd like fix that and he'll be even happier than he already is. If you're just unnecessarily complaining and don't have a constructive weight plan which is what I'm leaning towards based off what the poor guy texted, seek psychiatric help. Yes, perhaps some damage to your self-esteem has already been made. However, that doesn't mean that your confidence and amount of belief you have in yourself cannot be rebuilt. However, keep in mind that this will be next to impossible to do if you continue surrounding yourself with people as toxic as your boyfriend.
tldr: Dump him. The longer you stay with him, the longer your downward spiral will continue.

lol the guy called you curvy that's a damn compliment. He did nothing wrong. I'd say if you're really hurt by what he said and want someone who is going to sugar coat everything they say and walk on eggshells around you leave him and take up with no one else until you got your personal issues and body issues worked out!

if fhe picture is what he said to you, i think YOU are the one displeased with your body. ALSO let me explain what he was trying to say in. more scientific terms. There are 3 body types: ectomorph, mezomorph and endomorph. Ectomorphs are tall and their muscles are small but very defined (the term is "ripped" i think). They gain weight very hard (wether its muscle mass or just gainig fat. its the same) and they lose it very easy. Endomorphs are basically the opposite: they are short and their muscles are a bit larger (thus the term curvy. cause trust me women who have body fat aren't curvy. there's a difference). They gain fat or muscle mass very easy and they drop weight very hard. Mezomorphs are right in between. Average height and it's easy to gain AND lose weight for them. It seems to me like you are an endomorph with no body fat. Curvy is the "slang" for it. Bad news is you cannot change this. It' genetics.

Aaand sorry to tell you, but bfs do not have such a power to damage your self steem, the only thing they can do is burn an already existing wound. So.. if you feel that way, you already had the wound in you, even if buried deep within. A psychologist would work as a blessing. There's nothing wrong on attending one, au contraire, shows that you care about your mental comfort.
