Why does my boyfriend show PDA (public display of affection) with me in front of our friends? Is it because he truly loves me or just for show?

We were celebrating his birthday today
And he kept showing PDA with me infront of all our friends
He would put his arms around me
Kiss my cheeks
Kiss me on top of my head
And saying "babe" and "baby"

Because he likes/loves you

My vote would be option A dear Anonymous, but only if he always does it, regardless of the even, occasion or situation in my own honest opinion.
Some people like to do it in public just to show off.
Other people hide it because they don't feel much comfortable and are shy.
It really depends on the personality and character your SO is really.
In case he is always showing much affection then he must be in love with you.

When he did these things, was he looking directly at you, and only at you? If so then you were his whole reason and focus, and it was because he loves you.

If he was looking around, it standing slightly sideways to you as he was "open" to an audience, then he was doing it for attention.

Well, I guess he love you a lot! That's why he do the PDA thing. I've seen a couple of similar cases on this Korean counseling show where the husband always do PDA, their reason: It's because they really love their SO. Good for ya :)
