I would personally come clean with it so he knows what to expect and assist you in building trust again! Dealing with a narcissistic person can be emotionally traumatizing and the brain needs time for healing with comfort and trust to build up over time. If you leave this crucial detail about your previous relationship out, you may behave in an unpredictable manner and he'll wonder where it came from.

If he loves you enough, he'll be empathic with you in knowing what you've been through and will be patient in earning your trust as time progresses! If he leaves you because of this, he wasn't a supportive/loving guy to begin with. Always come clean when it's possible so there are no secrets between you two in case something abnormal happens. I can see why you're concerned to expose this kind of information but I believe this guy will hear you out and comfort you in any way he can!

If I wanted to date you, I would be very happy if you let out any insecurities or concerns that you believe would affect the relationship. It shows that you trust me and believe in me with knowing we can work these problems out together! No need to hide and carry the burden all on your own.

Hmm... I don't think it's a question of whether or not you should tell him, but rather a question of "Do you think you are ready to be in another relationship?" Abuse is rough. I just got out of a relationship with a narcissistic abuser as well. The still healing and recovering. My head is still reeling. I know I'm not ready for another relationship right now. I think you should be honest with him, but first decide if another relationship is something you can handle immediately.

Yes, I'm in this situation myself, and if I like someone I need them to know, I'm jumping and all the things about me that have changed so he knows why I am this way, if he really likes me hell stand by me and we'll figure out these things together, and if not then that's okay, always be honest from the start even if it's scary because having it pop up later on could make things worse!

Yes. If he's seriously considering being with you then he should know. But that being said also remain cautious and dont be vulnerable too quickly. Narcissists often prey on those weaker. Mention it but dont open up and trust him right away until you get a good feel with how he is in a relationship.
