The chances of being caught don't factor into my avoidance of such things. At the fundamental level is just the fact that it would go against my values. Values are ultimately tested by resisting temptations.

A secondary thing is my conscience. I don't think there's any way I could ever have a 100% chance of my SO not finding out since my conscience would compel me to tell her. I don't think I could live that sort of double life and keep it hidden from my wife.

Lastly, although I hope this isn't a big factor since I like to think my values do the bulk of the work here, is that it's just too much of a hassle. There's having to date and get to know another girl and building up my interest in her and fall for her and all that, not to mention that if she's like most of my exes, it won't work out in the long run and will be disappointing for us both. That's too much effort and cost and risk for too little reward.

But i dont know what i would do if such an instance occurs.

What i do is to make sure such an opportunity doesn't occur.
I dont spend time alone with other women (for this and other reasons).
So its unlikely that an opportunity will come.

I think thats what's more important. Most people can be seduced if you catch them at the right time in the wrong state of mind.
However, you have every option not to put yourself in a situation where someone could have sex with you.

No. Cheating is not about being caught or not, its about loyalty. If you love someone and promised to be faithful, its one of the best acts of loyalty you can give to your SO, regardless, even if they won't find out.
