I heard that coupes need to be separate from time to time to keep the relationship healthy and ongoing. I always liked the thought of traveling to other places and doing some charity work, maybe traveling close like cleaning the beaches in Florida or traveling far to dig wells in Africa.
If your partner wanted to spend 2 or 3 weeks alone in another area to do non profits, would you mind?

Couples need “natural” time away from eachother. As in you both have lives. Like going to work, the gym, seeing your friends. Couples don’t need “unnatural” time alone. As in purposely scheduling time away from eachother.
Anyway. If I trusted her the thought of her being away that long wouldn’t register. I’d just be supporting her passion for non profit.

If you want a serious relationship together you need to focus on building a life together. Why wouldn't she go on vacation and volunteer with you? Does she hate vacations and volunteering? This seems weird asf to me.

I would mind this a lot. I don't believe in the idea that couples need to be separate in order for the relationship to stay healthy and ongoing, unless the separation cannot be avoided. This may not be a popular opinion, but I feel that if you or your partner feel you intentionally need time away from each other, that's a red flag.
