How has the quarantine affected your relationship?

Question

With a supposed rise in divorce rates in China from people coming out of quarantine, I'm curious as to how everyone is doing. I know a lot of couples seem to be moving in together to self-isolate. Some couples are doing well, some not.

So, are things getting stronger? Falling apart? Neutral?

Relationship is going great, in fact it's gotten stronger. (Been together 15 years).

We have two daughters (15 years old, and a 1 year old). Daughter is a bit moody cause she can't see her friends due to the social distancing thing.

Sounds like a typical teenager; I know I was like that too at 15.

She was mad cause she wanted to hang out with her best friend and we said no. She isn't getting sick on our watch.

My relationship is going fine, probably slightly better to be honest. (We 8 years +)

I do find the psychology behind it interesting as I have heard a number of people moaning to be stuck with their partners.

I agree, and I'm wondering what it would look like if researchers did a study on how this pandemic has impacted relationships. I see a lot of posts about how it's strengthened relationships, but I've also seen a lot of contrasting posts too. Plus, I think it would be interesting to see how everyone's relationship holds up after the end of self-isolation.

my mom gone crazy and she slapped me, yell at me whenever she got the chance. my other family members just being ignored mom toxic behaviour. I just couldn't stop cursing her in silent. I'm tired.. wish I could die

I'm sorry. I hope things get better. Don't wish that you were dead; your life is always of value and your worth is not determined by your mom and how she treats you. Please stay safe during this time. I know it's much easier said than done, but try not to let her get to you. I know I'm just some stranger you've never met, but I've gone through my own ordeals (depression, PTSD, toxic family/friends/boyfriends, child loss), and I'm only 23. I know it's a struggle, but your life can and will get better. I promise. I'm sure you're a very wonderful person, beautiful inside and out. Stay strong, sweetheart! You can do this and it will only make you stronger and wiser. <3
