Well said, and I will admit openly that I sometimes allow someone's ignorance to exasperate me when trying to offer truthful (but hard to swallow) advice, or more often, when someone trolls in a reply to accurate-but-truthful advice. I constantly have to do a fair amount of policing myself from recoiling harshly to ignorance. I believe we could all do with a fair dose of self-tough-love at times and see how our reactions stifle meaningful discussions.

My way of showing tough love is showing that I can love you dearly and never except some things u do and/or I tell u things you need to hear regardless if it hurts your feelings or not (family, friendships and relationships) But I will love the soul out of u.
