I think each person has a different dynamic that works for them. But I will say this. Your boyfriend should cut back his hours. If you are both making money there is no reason you both can't see each other. If that means getting a smaller house or moving to another apartment, do it! Your time with each other is more important than money. And as for the other boyfriend, he at least needs to get a part time job. To be in this world you need a taste of work and that's coming from someone that barely worked myself. But I say this because you need that knowledge and confidence to get through life. Even if it's just two days a week, he should go to work
