How have you met new people/friends through lockdowns and social restrictions?

I have used a few apps like Meet Me, Meet Up and city socialiser but none of them have been too interesting.

I've befriended people through mutual friends, mainly from discord. there's also a lot of discord servers and other platforms to meet people from your classes for the university i go to so I've been using that to meet people as well, primarily to have some study buddies and people i can talk to about the class. im not sure if i would call any of them friends, but i have gotten to know some people

I’ve tried some of those apps but it was mostly just people asking me for sex or trying to flirt with me so I deactivated my accounts.
