Inspired by a post on Facebook that asked a similar questionc and the comments were hilarious, I heard some of those myself. I'll list some of mine:

"Marriage will fix everything"
"I could never cheat on my wife"
"I promise you it it never going to happen again"

I'm not seeing anyone.

When I was on the phone to the girlfriend after finding her on what'sapp he was sat next to her and he said I was crazy and chatting nonsense.
This of course was disbelieved until I told her their home address.

An ex friend waited until the next morning to make a move on me as I was too drunk to go home. Anyways he tried to seduce me and I told him no. Then he told me some bullshit about being able to marry x amount of wives. I laughed and asked him wtf the hell he thought I'd want in a situation like that!

Men are weird. Like I gotta have whatever she doesn't want...
The scraps pfft whatever!

I'm Single by the way as I'm no homewreaker!

I realise that due to me wanting an easy relationship I was too relaxed about investigating them I didn't do thorough checks. I'm learning from my mistakes

well I only heard them from my friends who were cheating on their partners, but some where also crazy..
But some more understandable were:
'My partner is not showing much affection and did not prioritise me for a longer period'
'My partner is very negative/depressed these days and I think I might break up with him soon'
More crazy/bad:
'This guy is very hot, and we need a place to sleep for the night' xD
'I do not want to hurt this guy I am having an affair with, I just try to be friends with him, but somehow we always end up having sex'

It is, of course, not exactly what they said, but the main point of their reasoning :S

“It was a moment of weakness”. It was my ex boyfriend. His girlfriend had went on vacation and he started texting me pretty much as soon as he left. It definitely wasn’t a singular “moment” of weakness. He made many attempts to cheat. He invited me to a family barbecue, invited me over for a movie night, he asked to come over to my place, and even after he was caught and forced to confess to everything he invited me over to spend the night with him. I only went to the barbecue and we ended up having sex in the woods. I felt pretty bad after that so I rejected all his other invitations.
