Too negative or too positive - what's worse?

Too negative.

Positive people are action oriented. They take risks more often. Too positive people might distort how they perceive danger, though, and they can make bad decisions because of it. However if they are able to keep positive, they are likely to recover sooner from failure, or be able to keep calm and happy regardless.

Negative thinking can be helpful in specific situations to perceive problems and possible damage, so one can avoid those or at least fix things beforehand. However too negative people might see danger where it doesn't exist, preventing themselves from taking action or even making themselves take bad decisions by focusing their action on the solving of fake problems. Besides, too negative people are likely to live in a constant state of internal stress or alarm, as anything is terrible, can damage them, is gonna go wrong, etc.

I think life is short and meaningless enaugh to take it too negatively. Is better to stay positive as much as possible. But some negativeness in the right amount to prevent great damages, that's healthy.

Too negative because if someone is constantly having that mindset then they'll bring you down and not even try to enjoy life and the beauty in it and that's not the kind of people i want to surround myself with. there's a difference between sad and stressed along with angry but someone seeing things so dull and dark and bad is unhealthy

People who see the worst in everything are going nowhere, while people who are overtly, unwaveringly optimistic about all things are idiots. Both have brainwashed themselves beyond objective reality.

Too negative, have been both of these things before.

What I say is that it's better to be optimistic as hell and keep hoping for the best rather than being negative with the harshness of reailty going ham on you relentlessly.

both can become tiring. overly positive people may have a better outlook on life but they could be inconsiderate about problems you have. overly negative people, for me at least, would be easier to hang around, but if they always complain and can't have fun then that becomes hard to deal with. you need balance.

It depends on if you're more of a negative/positive person yourself. I find women that are very positive to be endearing and attractive. Wheres some of the nicest people go for total bitches/assholes.
