Wow... what hell kind of question is this? It's not what sex u are it's the type of person BOTH sexes can be.
I think we as people male and female are way to wrapped up in cheating scandals and "what's my partner up to?" That we loose focus on making the relationship better. People manifest these horrible thoughts into reality by pushing their partner away.
Not trusting them even though they didn't cheat or would never cheat.
I have been hurt before too. Yes people suck... but not all. I think we need to spend more time loving each other instead if mistrusting, mistreating and accusing each other.
If we trusted and loved more. "The cheating" type may feel that love and respect. And not be drawn by the attention of another

Both! It's not a gender trait to be a cheater, that's more to do with the character of the person... There's men and women who will cheat and men and women who won't... Who does it more is really only speculation because not every cheater admits to it, and not every cheater gets caught.

If a man has a good gene, it is good for him to spread it as far and wide as he possibly can. For e. g. cheating on his wife to do that if he is married.

Because good gene men have done just that throughout history, indeed the males throughout the history of any sexually reproducing species, men have less shame or fear to cheat. So males do cheat more than females.

Females with a good gene would benefit from cheating if the opportunity presents itself. So women are less likely to cheat than men unless there is a good opportunity. Then they should be expected to cheat equally.

If someone cheats on you, leave them, don't cheat back, relations that work have trust in thier foundation. Once that is broken cheating for revenge doesn't fix it. I know it's not "cheating" cheating, but it's sooooo disrespectful and a lot of women will use it to get another man's validation and then a rise out of their boyfriends. Actually both. Virtue doesn't lie with one gender or anything. Men probably cheat more physically (visiting escorts and stuff), and women cheat more emotionally (flirting, dressing up to get attention from other men etc.).

But what I've seen is that if you aren't ready to sacrifice for your s. o. venues to cheat (especially in the US), are in plenty and very convenient. And people aren't really even judged to the level they are in other cultures, so it happens more easily.

Women. It's is because women are the gatekeepers to human reproduction. You often hear of women leaving a good stable guy for guys without jobs and/or are in and out of jail. Or a one night stand turning into a fling, or perhaps husband consents to this open relationship and cuckolding. Why is this? And no, men and women don't cheat for different reasons. Both do it because they are unsatisfied in their current relationship. What makes a man satisfied may differ from what makes a woman satisfied, but dissatisfaction is the reason both cheat. Satisfied men and women don't cheat.
