My dad was in ICU. boyfriend didn't text, come over or anything for a week. He would message me at 11npm at night when he gets off at work at 4 pm. I was alone. Completely. My dad almost died and I really needed him and he wasn't there. Now I'm contemplating on whether this relationship should continue or not. I'm ALWAYS there for him.

Yes. If someone loves you, they’ll be there when your up and down and through any shit. But not even a message? That’s terrible. And Thats your dad, Someone your very close to obviously a lot of emotions would be high. But he chose to neglect and not even at least say hey in busy or hey lemme make time so we can talk about it. that’s a red flag. I’m sorry that you had to deal with it alone. :/.
i broke up with my last boyfriend because he chose to party/drink and not be there for me after I got out almost dying and being hospitalized. So big asss red flag.

Your boyfriend is a talented magician. He disappears when you need him. Unfortunately, disappointment always comes from the closest people to you. That's an uncomfortable relationship. In the meantime, focus on your father's health, and deal with that stupid later.

Kinda hard to call that a relationship. You need to raise your standards quite a bit. It ain't going to get any better if he can't be there for you at a time like that.
