Would you let your partner control your intake of medication?

Question

I generally don't, I handle my pneumonia pills and other medications by myself.
The only thing I rely on her is that her being a nurse, she has the workarounds to get me particular medications and can administer me proper injections of a certain medicine.
What about you?

That's like asking if you'd let your partner control how many bites of food you have. It's not something for a partner to "control". Although, if you're abusing your body they have a right to give their opinions & if you don't like it you can hit the road.

I'd learn how to do it myself. Even have her teach me. Otherwise if she ever needs to leave town on a family emergency or work extra late or she gets really sick and can't do anything: you'll be up a creek. Better to plan ahead than hope for the best.

Giving someone else that power isn't healthy. Why wouldn't YOU take that responsibility.
I don't care if your partner is a doctor also. They're not YOUR doctor. It's unethical that she's doing that.

If your partner is controlling you intake of medication, barring some serious issues with dependency, then your partner is exerting too much control over you, and is invading personal space that is not good to be controlled by another person.

She’s fine now since she got away from him. I have to help her sometimes though because men often make assumptions about single moms. Keep her spirits up. He’s one of those guys. It’s no surprise.

i would because some of my stuff messes with my head and it's easy to forget about taking it. Much better to have someone else there to remind me i have to take certain things at certain times
