What are good reasons to be hostile with someone being friendly with you?

I don't know how too say this without pissing the asker off, but I think you really need to hear this.
Seek help and guidance in this toxic, extremely confrontational social dynamic, because it's messed up. I'm not saying this too be mean, but too be caring in my assurtion that it's unhealthy for you too spend your life being mean.
Playing games with people all the time, especially people you don't know isn't healthy and it's not normal rational social behavior and just this is the type of behavior people you know of engaging then you could really benefit from seeking new friends or acquaintances to spend time with. A question sounds like a really really messed up script from Seinfeld with the hand and all that.

I don't have a good reason, but I can tell you that I usually am hostile with people being friendly with me. The power dynamic stuff you speak of is part of that reason.

It seems too much of a drag to interact with people for any reason outside of productivity to me at this point in my life. Too many people want to do manipulative shit to a person for thier own selfishness. Which I have nothing against for it seems to be human nature, but I have no intrest in being any part of it.

If it’s fake kindness. Kindness with a hidden intention, or those insults hidden as compliments. Those people well deserve my hostility

(TL;DR:"If you make your suspicions known and they don't respect that, avoid them") While I don't think hostility would be the best option, I prefer to communicate with someone exactly why I'm distancing myself, this I think prevents or at least dampens any unjust hostility. However if the person you are trying to communicate to becomes hostile or isn't respectful of these boundaries, I consider that to be justification of any defensive hostility.

I don’t believe you should simply because it’s not a justifiable reaction when someone is providing a completely pleasant experience. With that being said though if you don’t want to engage you can simply tell them that.

It is actually those people who cannot really stand being alone. Typically those are people who asks "can we be friends?" That's a cringy question. Nobody have to ask when you can just feel friendship.
