Why do people say there is no age-cap on dating or love? Why is a person never too old for a relationship?

Question

Just asking because, I'm 32 and never had a serious long-term relationship, my only major dating experience was dating someone for a couple of months and it didn't work out.

seems to be expected that a person should have at least one long-term relationship under their belt by now.

Plus I'm also heard of cases or people, primarily guys, men, who can easily reach an age like this or even older and have not dated anyone at all, yet people will say it's never too late for them.

I understand and I'm aware that we can't change the past but I sometimes feel better or have resentment towards teen couples or early 20s couples, couples in their 20s.

Plus, it seems people aren't as sexually active or the quality of sex declines, when they reach middle-ages or older. But I feel that it's possible I have been conditioned or brainwashed.

But yeah I've never done well with dating and there are times I want to throw in the towel but unfortunately the urge for wanting a relationship or intimacy, sex, desire can't be removed.

It comes down to the person, there is nothing wrong dating outside your age group.

then it’s defining what is classed as a gap, 5 years, 10 years, 20?

you cannot pigeon hole someone just because of age, I have friends that are far fitter, more active, financial secure and nicer at 40, then they were at 25.

people do change there lives around later in life and go from 24 stone to 14 and running marathons or other stuff.

not sure how anyone could say a 40 year old woman dating a 25 year old guy was a pervert, not when that 40 year old does kick boxing, runs a business and her abusive husband got kicked out and divorced,

to me good luck to her (friend of a friend).

I've dated a 45 yr old when I was 30, not a problem.

sometimes attraction kicks you in the face and you act without any thought of age.

obviously there are moral and obvious limits to all this.

but if both parties are Happy, have actual love, trust, understanding etc and no abuse or manipulation then what’s the problem.

Because old guys what a nice firm ass and young women want stability and security. If it fits they will find whatever ways to justify it that have nothing to do with fulfilling their desperate desires.
