If only one person ever said yes to you, should you keep them?

Question

You know they don't really love you (if they lie and likely cheat too, they don't love you) but...

if you've been rejected all your whole (the very woman that gave you up for adoption made it clear she doesn't ever want to meet you), every date turns out bad afterwards and it never progressed to anything, not even a kiss and finally someone accepts being in a relationship with you... is it worth keeping them for the meantime?

I'm gonna compare this to a dead-end job. You already know that job isn't gonna give you vacation benefits and you have to perform the same crappy tasks, you're stucked and every single job interviews went bad, they rejected you... so ok you stay in that crappy job for the meantime until something better comes up.

Why waste your time? It is proof you don't know how to love yourself. You need to form RELATIONSHIPS and friendships with people. Most are out to use others. You also have to figure out why you need to be dating. You can't invite people into your life and you not stable before they end up hurt because of your not straight.

I know. I'm a total mess and don't think highly of myself, never did. I'm already done with college (older than my profile but I can't correct the age) and it's only been a year since finally being in a relationship, a girl that said yes to me when asking her out (all my life has been about listening to NOs over and over). She met me as a hopeless, 25 year-old virgin.
Some days I actually want to dump her and get rid of this but then get reminded that I might spend another 5 years alone, single again... again dealing with getting rejected and no girlfriend.

Alone is better than used, abused and not having the freedom to be yourself. You need to remember that a healthy relationship is a partnership. You cannot ask out strangers. You need to build something. I never dated. You don't see me desperate. Because I understand how it works to a degree down here. It's not real. And you cannot afford to have it kill you because that's what it wants. A person who wants to love you doesn't make you feel like you want to leave.

The purpose of life is not to be in a relationship with someone. And an unhealthy relationship can be way more damaging than being alone and rejected.

I would rather be alone than with someone who doesn't love me, lies, and cheats. What's the purpose of that? To be with someone? Not worth it.
