I think both do.
Some women tend to put money and status and even looks above other important qualities such as hard work, loyalty, being family oriented, soft hearted, intelligence etc and end up being disappointed.
Some men tend to put looks abover other important qualities such as being respectful, loyal, smart etc and end up disappointed.

Most importantly both tend to not look far enough in the future in terms of compatibility, as in, they don't take the time to see if they have the same values, objectives etc and plans for the future and just jump in quick in a relationship with someone they find "cute" and "funny" in hopes that " Love is stronger than any potential obstacles " only to find up that this ends up catching up to the relationship and ruining it.

Well as i explained to @Brainsbeforebeauty the other day. Men don't choose relationships, women do. A guy can hit on a woman all day long if she's not feeling him he has no chance. A woman can use feminine wiles to change a guysresponse if she wants to. Lol So there ya go. Women have worser taste in in partners. And is evidenced by their constant whining on this site.
