Yes, the differences between versions is something I point out to christians often and it is a large part of why I could never believe christianity. I don't see a reason to think any version is reliable to the word of God when we have so much evidence of scripture being changed.
No but I;m not surprised. I can just imagine Bible versions advocating homosexual "marriage" and every other kind of destructive depravity.
There is one that actually does. It's called the Queen James Bible. It's featured on the Internet.
hardly a legitimate bible and anyone reading it knows they're living a lie.
If there's something that doesn't seem right then I go back to the Hebrew (if OT) or Greek (if NT) Interlinear. From that strategy I have discovered that KJV is more accurate in some instances & NIV is more accurate in some instances.

I've put in quite a few years of studying the bible using various methods and resources. It's been altered so much that nobody can make heads or tails of it without really digging in.Statement analysis is very useful, but it requires a lot of insight. It's a great way to figure out where to look. Take Christ's statement "you would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of the greater sin" from an analytical standpoint, that makes no sense. We infer that He means God gave them the power and that God handed Him over, but the Greek word used for "from above" can also be translated to "from the first". And God didn't hand him over, it was Judas, who Christ stated was the devil. The devil was also the first angel, and the one who offered Christ all the kingdoms of the world. So if the devil is in charge of the kingdoms of the world, then that means their power comes from him. This is the devil's kingdom, not God's.
Which versions are you talking about. I use the New American Standard whose translation is derived from the original Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew.
All of them. They're all corrupt, every last one.
You must be an atheist so who cares what you think?
Yes, but I don't even use a King James because King James wanted lots of things deleted.I use the New Oxford Annotated Bible With The Apocrypha that I bought circa 1993.
Your argument seems to assume that the KJV is the standard. Which version? The early printed versions had variants because the printers were not perfect. And why not the Geneva? Are you aware that the KJV translators, in the notes, expected and welcomed alterations to what they did as more manuscripts and more knowledge of the languages were obtained? In any event the entire KJV Only position has been debunked as malarkey, not that KJV Cultists care.
Its a load of bollox anyway. Like all religious ideology its stolen from ancient pagan belief systems. Sooner idiots realise that god is a scam to control society the better and freer we will all be. "God save us from religion" lol
They did. And they aren't denying itWe know where the gaps are. There is footnotes telling us where the changes usually areNo biggie
Kjv is altered tooBest bibles are the ancient Greek ones.
Not if you're not fluent in Greek.
Haha thats very true
Yes and it changes the entire context of many verses so many people have unsound Bible versions.
At least we agree on something!
