Why many Atheists tend to prefer Christianity than Islam?

Because most so called atheists are White Westerners, looking to get back at their abusive, Christian families.

You can only be an agnostic or theist, atheism is just an opinion in between and no more legitimate than burglary can be called an "occupation".

Plus, most of the time it isn't even an opinion based on any facts, but on an unrelated situation experience. i. e. abusive Christian father, therefore Christianity is bad, not the dad or his mental illness.

Jews and Muslims that descend into atheism are a different mentality, usually criminality.

Because one follows the teachings of a guy who preached love and tolerance while the other follows the teachings of a genocidal pedophile warlord whose idea of heaven is being sexually pleased by little girls and boys and whose idea of "marriage" is killing parents of teens and then raping them.

Anyone who thinks that Muhammad was in any way a venerable man worthy of worship is, very clearly, mentally ill in the head and a real threat to modern society.

Because while christianity has its problems, I'm pretty confident that I would not be killed for explaining why their religious claims don't work.
However, I can not be so confident that the muslim community would be so relaxed about it. Murder in retaliation to criticising islam is not uncommon.

This isn't to say that all muslims are rabid psychopaths just itching to pull out their swords, but there's no getting away from the fact their religion is inherently more violent than others.

I hate all religions equally, if I was forced to pick a religion. I would choose Daoism or Buddhism since to me those make the most sense. But I’d never ever be a Christian, just saying.

Because christianity has been reformed and is generally more open-minded than Islam. Taking it at face value jesus was just some hippie while Mohammed was a warlord.

Not sure. I'm atheist, but I don't particularly like either of those religions. Both in what they actually teach and the history behind them. If I had to choose one that I think is better than others, I'd go with Buddhism.

Pretty sure we don't prefer either equally. And we tend to avoid all religious people apart from self contained people of there faith.

It's a very simple answer. Christians don't still have people executed for apostasy or blasphemy. Christianity has been better able to adapt to the changing moral zeitgeist.

Western countries which are more inclined towards Christianity are more technologically and culturally advanced and that leads to atheism.
