Who else *doesn't* want the "end times" to come in their lifetime?

I don't want it to come in my lifetime. It's acontradiction. The Old Testament doesn't actually teach an "end of time" although there is a scientific "end of time" ot the Universe, it's 10^128th number of years in the future. The "end of the Age" in Revelation is 21 plagues on people, and I don't want that to happen to anyone, much less in my lifetime.
IN the Old Testament, God says he does NOT take pleasure in the death of the wicked. So I don't see how Revelation or Jesus' prophecies of an end time destroying all sinners like livestock animals could be true.
The Covenant recorded in the Old Testament is "Everlasting... to Perpetual Generations" and so nothing can undo an Eternal Covenant, not even God himself can violate that for any reason. So the "end of the Age" must be a GOOD thing, not a bad thing, otherwise that would violate God's covenant with man.
