Thanks, both of you.
I believe in Evolution, but I'll ask you a question. What does the selecting? Where did the PERFECT Mathematical Logic of the Universe come from?
@Wade8888 Your question makes no sense because it presupposes a 'what' and a 'perfect mathematical logic'. Neither of which are part of evolution.
We know the Universe obeys Logic and we know the laws of the Universe are never broken. Therefore Evolution is controlled by Logic.Now where did the Logic come from?In steven hawking's deterministic framework, the Universe ultimately comes from a mathematical equation, which he simplified to "1 + (-1) = 0", which I don't agree with, but at any rate, I do agree the Universe is logical. So if the Universe came from Logic, where did the Logic come from?
You are wrong, as usual, CountessSarah.DNA is purely logical. In fact, it's actually so logical that Computer Scientists are attempting to make a super-computer using DNA as the processor and memory.
@Wade8888 None of that gets you to evolution requiring a 'perfect mathematical logic'. The universe obeys its own physical laws, sure. Nobody is contesting that. But my objection was mainly to the 'Perfect' part. There's nothing 'perfect' about evolution or physics. They just... are. Logic doesn't come from some external source, it's a concept. But I'm going to assume you're trying to sloppily use it interchangably with physical laws, in which case the answer is I don't know.
Wade, if you thought I was correct about something I'd have the immediate response of assuming I must have said something stupid.
Physics is actually so close to perfect that it correctly predicted the temperature of the CMB and correctly predicted the mass of the Higgs Boson 50 years ahead of time.So much for your argument.In a few more decades they'll correct the mistakes they are currently making in sciences and have a complete model of the Universe with the correct ages for the Sun, Earth, Moon, and the Universe itself I'll wager they are currently off by 50% for the Earth and Moon, and they are off by an order of magnitude for the Sun and the Universe itself, but "unknowns" in science take a long time and a lot of rigor to rule out, and so that leads to some tough decisions on what to call a "Standard" model of the Universe.
@Wade8888 You don't get it."Perfect" is relative. Physics are perfect /relative/ to what? We don't know if physics are free to vary, or if there are (Or could be) universes with physics that vary from ours, perhaps slightly or by a great deal.The problem Wade, and I'm trying to be nice here - But it's hard for me to get this across - Is that you're not a great communicator. You throw out sloppy language and irrelevant tangents all the time.This started out as me simply stating that the existing knowledge is all anyone needs to accept evolution.You responded with a weird, leading question that presupposed a 'what' that 'does the selecting' - There is no 'what' doing any selecting.And 'perfect mathematical logic' - Evolution is not math.You are now talking about the Higgs Boson the ages of various celestial bodies. What the hell does any of this have to do with my post? The answer is nothing, though I suspect you will attempt to rationalise this with more tangents and irrelevant buzzwords.
What I will say to your credit -Is that you took my advice a long time ago, several months ago you had this /awful/ habit of droning on, and on, and on, and on to the point where I (And I imagine post other people you engage here) was not reading your posts anymore. You stopped doing that after you were called out for it. But your posts are often still similarly disjointed, they're now just more concise. Which is great, but you need to work on getting to the point without the filler tangents, and actually defining your concepts.At least you've stopped talking about warp drives every 5 minutes. So that's cool.
You've got me confused with someone else.Anyway, Logic controls everything in the Universe, but you and your precious scientists can't explain where the Logic comes from. I can say, "It came from a Pre-existing Mind.""The Multiverse described by String Theory is so perfect that the only way it could come into being is if it were in fact Created by a Pre-Existing Intelligence." - Dr. Michio Kaku, 2018 Facebook.
@Wade8888 No, Wade, it's absolutely you I'm talking about.Logic doesn't 'control' anything. Logic is a concept that /we/ came up with, again, sloppy language.The universe obeys physical laws, sure. We don't need to be able to assert where physical laws come from. You could assert your god, but you'd be doing so for bad reasons and, seen as you like the word so much, flawed logic.I'm not Dr. Michio Kaku, so I don't care.
Humans did not invent Logic. Humans DISCOVERED Logic.the Universe ALWAYS obeys Logic, that's why the Laws never change.
@Wade8888 'Logic' doesn't exist outside of a mind.
Bingo. Therefore a pre-existing intelligence is required, otherwise the Universe would not be logical. But we know for an absolute FACT that the Universe is logical, because all of the laws of the Universe are logical.
@Wade8888 No, that's a non-sequitor.The universe doesn't need to be logical - Logical is a descriptor we apply to something. Logic doesn't exist outside a mind, and the universe has no concept nor need of what we identify as logic.Again, this is your non-understanding of words.

Women photoshop themselves on dating profiles, so I guess that's a joke. You never know what's really on the other side of a photoshopped dating profile though.
@Wade8888 hahahahahaha makes sense.
Lols. Education. Ever heard about it?
