Sure Clare Grogan’s vocals maybe sounded kinda “cheesy” or “girly” but truth is it worked fine with their music. Strangely they managed 2 have some success in New Zealand according 2 wikipedia!

My favorite record by them would b “Bite”…it had so many catchy pop tunes, featuring the singles “Bring Me Closer” and “Don’t Talk To Me About Love”…. but my pick would be “Bring Me Closer”…. especially the extended Dance Mix…. is sooooooo damn sexy!

The Associates were another new wave band of that era, featuring a darker and more experimental sound though…my personal favs would b “4th Drawer Down” (“Tell Me Easter’s On Friday” would b my fav song from this…an underrated post-punk classic…”Kitchen Person” and “Q Quarters” were very good as well)…or the more experimental “Sulk” featuring their biggest hit “Party Fears 2”

Oh well now, let’s go 4 the Scottish bands. The land of the best bands basically

Let’s begin with 2 indie pop bands of that era, Aztec Camera and Orange Juice. Aztec Camera had a bunch of hits during the 80s, and their biggest hit was “Somewhere In My Heart”, whilst Orange Juice had only 1 hit during the 80s called “Rip It Up” which was a synth-funk song basically, and not very similar in the style of most of their songs…Orange Juice’s singer Edwyn Collins would score a big hit again in the mid-90s with his song “A Girl Like You"

My personal fav would be “Love” by AC among the list,.. it was actually different than their first 2 albums, closer 2 the pop/blue-eyed soul style similar with bands like Breathe or Brother Beyond. “Working In A Goldmine” gotta b my fav song of the album.,.. and of course the classic “Somewhere In My Heart”

Let's go to a hard-rock mode now...which one is your facorite album by Def Leppard,one of the biggest British hard-rock bands of the 80s?

Mine would be Hysteria.....a classic albumVfrom that era including songs like "Pour Some Sugar On Me",";Love Bites" or "Armaggedon"!

Anyway... my favorite is their debut. I loved the futuristic sound, coupled with lyrics about Aliensa, and flying Saucers.

Except the classics "I Ran" and "Space Age Lovesong", other nice songs from the album are "You can Run","Modern Love Is Automatic","Standing in the Doorway", etc

"Listen" was equally nice as well
