My crush and I are good friends. We got really close over the summer when he FB messaged me 24/7. He has always been the one to up the ante on our communication. He gave me his number then asked for mine. He started us texting. He put Snapchat on my phone so he could send me shirtless snaps.

All of the contact and attention made me crush on him so hard, which he teased me about, so he knows. I was crazy to think that level of contact could keep up after school started and I was really determined to be cool and not come off as needy or clingy.

8 months later we flirt hard, tease hard and flirty touch at school. We text still but it's more like a running convo. I'll text him whenever I think of something he'd get a kick out of, or to ask him something or tell him something funny about someone we know, etc.

I don't text him every day. It's more often when we're out of school when I'm missing him. He's told me he likes talking to me and he always answers right away and sometimes sends little paragraphs. Lots of lols and we've both commented on how we both remember everything the other one ever has said.

I told him, as non-clingily as I could, that I missed talking to him as much outside of school. I just decided to text him whenever I feel like it and not wait for him to text me first. I don't want to be annoying but since he always texts right back, he seems okay with it.

Do guys like that? Would they rather be the ones to initiate?
