Something that just popped in my mind as the hockey team I cheer for (Toronto Maple Leafs) are currently winning 4-1 against the Bruins and the last time these 2 teams faced in the playoffs the leafs blew a 4-1 lead on game 7 in the 3rd period. I’ll never forget that night! It was so disappointing for me and a lot of other Canadians. Still remember the day Monday May 13 2013. I remember very well saying “the leafs are gonna win” being the fact that they had a huge lead in third period but I was wrong. For a while I thought I jinxed it but my dad and many others who are sports fans just say it happened cause of the leafs not playing well in 3rd period and that there is no such thing as jinxing. Anyway I just wanted to ask what you thought and if you believed in jinxing? To this day I still always remember not to get too exited even if the team I cheer for has a huge lead in elimination game cause you can never be for certain until it’s all over can you?
