Hi Guys/Gals,

I live abroad and recently a new guy moved into the house next door. He's new to the country but very energetic and positive. He always offers to bring me shopping on his way home, and, sometimes buys things he knows I 'll like in case I haven't got anything for dinner. We also hang out of an evening, and, he's brought friends around to introduce them to me. His body language is all in my direction, for example he is always facing me, even if I move, he'll adjust his position. Plus he's always leaning in my direction on the couch and sitting right up close next to me to show me videos on his phone. When I asked him if he'd tried a particular activity and recommended he go do it, he said "that sounds great; you and me'll go and do it". He teases me as well, in a nice way and is quite flirty but hasn't made any obvious opening move though there's a lot of eye contact and he blushes a lot when I tease him. He's also offered to cook me dinner. I do feel like there's some chemisty but I don't know if it's all on my end or not as I haven't dated in a long while.

The thing is, he mentioned he has a girlfriend back home. But, I'm wondering if since we met he's in the early stages of reconsidering their relationship and perhaps asking me out. Here's where I'm confused though. He mentioned in passing that he had real feelings for her but wasn't sure what to do because he doesn't want to go back home and she doesn't want to leave the country to live with him, and, he said he would have to discuss it with her next time he went home. I wasn't sure why he brought it up... he didn't seem too upset... He was also talking about how moving abroad changes your perspective.

Was he sounding me out to see how I reacted to the possibility of his being available? Or, was he asking my advice, thereby putting me in the 'Friendzone'. What's my move?

We met in January in class. We were on separate teams at the time and had to get feedback from other teams, and we happened to sit next to him.

2 weeks later, we had to choose new partners for our 2nd game. He ran over to me, literally, when he saw someone else ask to be my partner. So we partnered up for the game.

We ended up working on the game for 3 weeks, nothing special, It was hard to get together since he lives on campus and I commute to college. The weekend before it was due I asked if I could stay the night to finish. He was totally into the idea and even gave me his bed to sleep in, he slept on the floor.

More instances:
He worries about me constantly, but only said it once under his breath.
He tries to teach me things he is into constantly. (Tennis, LoL, Magic, etc.)
He let me stay over for a week straight because of personal issues on my part.
When we were sitting with our friends he only asked me to go see a movie, not all of us.
He tries to hang out with me one on one most times, or if we hang out in a group he sits next to me or right across from me.
While we don't text a lot, when its been a few days and I text him, even if its just to say hi, he gets excited in his replies.
He actually stops playing LoL to answer my calls.(haha)
He gets irritated when I bring up other guys.
He has told me he prefers taller girls (I'm 5'10)

The reason why I am lost is, I am not good a reading signs, I am only good at giving them, and I cannot tell since I personally thinks he likes another girl, but it could just be in my head.

While he does act nice around them, I get a vibe he is nervous around me. The one thing we haven't done is break the touch barrier. We hug yes, and he has let me lay my head on his lap, but as far as casual touching, its not there like how he is with other girls.

He is very very sweet and that's why I'm worried I'm misreading his signals.

Is he just a friend? Or is there more?

Hello! Now, I'm the kind of person that likes consulting stuff with others before taking big decisions. And who better to consult than the lovely people of the internet. And... it is ironically fitting for the "thing" I am desperately trying to figure out.

As the title might have given out, I have been in a "relationship" for a little over a year (who am I kidding, almost two friggin years!?!) with a guy that lives on the other side of the planet. And besides the obvious uneasiness of not being able to see each other, I feel.. empty. I love him to pieces but I feel like he doesn't return my feelings completely, if not at all. But the thing is, everytime I would break up with him, he would always come back and ask for another chance. You would think that after each breakup he would learn from his mistakes (Ugh. And I am a very tolerant person, and I don't usually care about other people's mistakes... but this guy just grinds my gears!*mutters*), but noooooo...

They got worse.

He never shows me his true feelings, yet he sometimes talks so sweet to me that I have to pinch myself to see if it's only a dream. Or he would be really cold, and ignore me or talk with curt replies. He is just so confusing... I have been having a really rough time ever since I got in this relationship, but I can't make myself forget about him. It hurts when I'm with him and have him send me mixed signals, but it hurts even more when he's not there.

Probably not the best explanation ever, but I am kind of super embarrassed already as it is for sharing this on here. Imagine if I had to put all of the cheesy and sad and pervy *cough* details that might give you a better insight of everything that has happened up until now.

So I have an ex friends with benefits . We were really close before we started hooking up, we hung out almost every weekend for a few months. He claimed I was getting too attached, but I had just ended a four year relationship with another guy previous to hooking up with this guy. Granted I wasn't in a great place to be seeing anyone and wasn't really myself, but he ended it. When I would see him, he would act like nothing had happened even though we ended things on bad terms. Right after he ended it, he started publicly dating this girl with the same first and middle name as me, as if him seeing another girl didn't piss me off enough. It made me feel insecure because he never wanted to be public with me and said he wasn't looking for a relationship but he jumped into one after ending things. When we went to college, he didn't text me but religiously checked my snapchat stories and liked my Instagram posts. He snap chatted me a few random times during the year but I didn't respond. Right before Christmas break he texted me asking to hang out and saying that he missed me. I didn't know if he was still together with his ex at the time but he confirmed that they weren't. He didn't even use her name, he just called her "my ex". As I was naturally curious, i took him up on his offer but also brought one of my best friends with me who was also close with him. I get in the car and within seconds he's talking about his sex stories from school! But then he went to say that I should go and visit him at college! I didn't hear anything from him after that because he had a short break but recently he sent me a snapchat of him and another girl! I know he is a jerk and I would never hook up with him again but his behavior is annoying and I don't know what his deal is! Is he interested in being friends with benefits again, does he want to be friends or is he trying to make me jealous? Thanks for reading! :)
