I'm a freshman in college and I'm shy. I like to keep to myself most of the time, but I do like spending time with close friends doing things that I enjoy. I'm not really a party person, I'd rather do something different like go to the movies, to a carnival or something, things of that nature. I like to play and watch soccer, it's something I watch on TV a lot. I'm very much a homebody. I like watching TV, playing games l, studying and lesening new information about my major (Kinesiolgy & Health), and doing fun things with close friends. I have a very small social circle, I'm not a social butterfly like most of my friends and family are. I would like to have a gifriend or just a girl that I can really talk too, but I feel like no many girls would understand me and I feel like I would get rejected by most girls. I don't want to be like this, it's just who I am as a person and I've learned to embrace it over time. Would any girl out there ever date me or give me the chance?

Basically, I'm a junior in college and there's this girl I went to high school with that I'm interested in. Back in high school, I had a major crush on her but I was too shy to make any moves and I also feel that she didn't like me then. Over the years, we've kept minimal contact and follow each other on instagram and twitter. About a month ago, one of her friends (I'll call her friend B and I'll call the girl l like A) started snapchatting me and telling me how attractive I am, etc. I wasn't that interested in her then and I'm still not, but I would reply to her snaps just to be nice.

I was essentially over A until she liked and commented on a picture I posted on instagram. I took that as a sign that she was interested in me. I started sending her funny pics and memes on instagram and things seemed to be going well. She was replying very enthusiastically to my messages and adding extra letters to the ends of words. We were also sending each other snapchats too. A week after, I made a joke saying that A might be on the list of people I'll see when I get home. A was then like "Prob not LOL" and told me that B asked her why didn't I meet up with B when I came home for spring break. After this I was kinda annoyed and disheartened and stopped messaging A for a while. Then, A started sending me memes again and we started messaging and sending each other snaps again. This past weekend, I sent A a selfie and she replied saying "hottie". I said "thanks" and she "You're welcome" with the blushing, smiling face emoji. She also sent me snapchats of an entire video she watched on youtube.

So is A actually interested in me or not? If she is, how do I deal with her friend who likes me? If A does like me, will B try to stop it? Is A just playing games because I'm ready to cut them both off, if she is.
