If you formely tried to suicide yourself. Does that mean one is too *****ed up to ever find friends/love?

Would you judge someone who tried to kill him or herself before as a freak you would not want to have anything to do with at all?

I tried to kill myself twice by cutting. I was 15 and then 21. My parents were fighting nad they were always screaming/shouting at me and were always on my case about not helping them out enough and stufff even though I'm a straight ace student and I seem to "talk back" and disagree with things like how they run their house. Anyway. I could not stand the shouting and I could not leave because I had no job and they would lock me in the house, I would not have my own sanctuary because I could always hear them shouting at me and scolding me. And at the time I couldn't enlist because they wouldn't give consent, I pondered enlisting to go to Iraq just to escape home.

So my escape was boozing myself with alchohol and cutting my wrists and hoping the bleeding would finish me. Ofcourse I was stopped and taken care of.

Now parents are cool sorta. And I did get to enlist and leave.

But my scars are visible and they raise questions. So for someone like me, to the average joe, I would be deemed/judged as too freaky to befriend right? Just because I had attempted suicide? Is society really understanding? Or is society judgmental and full of people who monopolize what is considered normal or not.
