There is this guy I have known since I was a child, we grew up together and spent time through training in a sport and being sponsored by the same team. We grew closer through the years as usually happens; however, unfortunately as we grew older we grew apart in actions but closer in friendship. (He smoked a lot of weed and didn't do well in school as well was a party goer as I was very traditional, did well in school and kept to myself not drinking till I was of age etc). A time had come in my life where I ended up in the hospital with a failing kidney and kidney stones of all things... a lot of things had happened between him and I (he had spread a rumor about me while drunk, and I had been lying to him saying I was doing better than I was in my life), problems grew because I wasn't emotional enough and he also lied about many things in attempts to protect me from who he had become... I got stressed and misused my Oxycontin dosage (I did this once after curiosity as how this would make me feel better about my situation in the hospital as well as with him) after a friend informed him of what was going on he stayed on the phone with me a few nights till I was better and to convince me I was better than him when it came to being a person (including not doing drugs before). After he sorted that out he concluded to end our friendship in fear (according to him) he was influencing me and he was "ending it for me." As I know our situation is difficult, I can't forget about him. It's been only 4 months... should I message him again and try and speak? Or let it go, I had my time with him... I shouldn't be greedy in my friendships, if he's done, he's done.

I've been talking to this dude for 2 years. No we were never together because I felt like he was to immature to handle a real commitment but it didn't stop us from telling each other "I love you" or "I'm in love with you" and even "I'm going to marry you one day". Up until October we hadn't had sex because I was in fact a virgin. But one night it changed and he started treating me different. Everything he said he would never do he did. So why did he just stop talking to me like I didn't mean anything to him. And he spread rumors about me. What kind of person does that?
