So in the future I want to sell my current car and get a different one. However, I have limited options since I'm into performance cars and can't go over $10k. I've found many cars that fit the bill (you can suggest your favorites) but it's realistically come down to two options: A 4th-gen Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 or a 2003 Acura CL Type-S. Why these? Both have manual transmissions and both are cheap/practical enough to be fun and still do "car" things like commuting. Sorry Miata, but you're too damn small. So here's the list of pros and cons of each and I'm wondering what I should go with.

4th-gen Camaro:

Pros:
-RWD
-5.7L V8 with 300+ HP
-Cheap to fix
-One of my coworkers has one and I'd get a lot of bro credit from others
-LOUD

Cons:
-Finding a V8 Camaro for under $10k in decent condition is difficult since they're now pretty much collector's cars.
-GM build-quality. This thing will probably won't even start at least once a week and the interior/exterior would make me feel like a peasant.
-It looks like a catfish.
-Cannot handle too well since it's a muscle car
-Insurance will bend me in half.

2003 Acura CL Type-S:


Pros:
-3.2L V6 with 260HP
-LSD so no FWD wheel-spin
-One of the best handling FWD cars ever
-Rare, only about 4k were sold in the US.
-Honda reliability
-Super practical
-The interior is amazing, with leather bucket seats and luxury stuff like a great audio system, heated mirrors, cruise control, etc.
-All the safety stuff like ABS, Traction control, Multiple airbags, stability control, etc. So cheaper insurance.
-Dual purpose, can be a performance car one minute and a comfortable commuter the next.
-I'll get mad respect at Honda meets from people in their Civic SI's, yo.

Cons:
-FWD
-Rare, so there aren't many of them, especially ones with 150k miles or less. Also, clutches are like $2000 for this thing.
-Nobody knows what the fuck this thing is.
-The exterior of this car is soooooo boringgggg.

It seems to me more and more people are not driving standard transmissions anymore. Most people don't even know how to drive a manual transmission. I know the new automatics are more fuel efficient now by a small margin but driving manuals are just way more fun and gratifying. We can leave out the god awful paddle shifters as well. I believe if you actually would be willing to learn how to drive a manual you would not want to go back to an automatic because you have so much control that benefits you in bad weather areas. Opting for the manual transmission will also save you on average over 1K on purchasing a vehicle, if its offered. In other countries manuals are way more popular than automatics. Maybe because they have better roads suited for fun aggressive driving around mountains and on the coasts instead of our long straight interstates here. Please tell me why you don't like manual transmissions and if you don't know how to drive them, would you be willing to learn?

In fact do you like your car? I like my car enough to show you guys a picture of it. Mine is a 1998 White Honda Accord EX it has a transmission problem. But I still love it!

I feel happy when I drive my car. Sometimes when it rains I put my car outside and in the morning I wipe off the extra water and it looks and feels clean. I think that is better than paying for a car wash whenever it gets dirty. It only takes 10 minutes to make sure it is spotless.

Do you get embarrassed when you're driving your car?

What do you think of the cars you see along side you on the road? Do you care?

I sure as hell don't. I feel like people are always trying to better themselves like saving up for a newer car while using the shit out of their old one. Good for them.
