so a few weeks ago I hung out with a guy I've known awhile. it was our first time hanging out one on one, and we ended up hooking up. no big deal.

thing is he's got a hell of an ego. (overcompensating in my opinion, he's pretty but not really packing downstairs). whatever, the sex was great and we're highly compatible there.

he's told me before he likes when a girl pursues him. that's really not my style. like I'll say hey I'm interested but I don't chase a guy.

so since we hooked up I've kinda avoided him. he's gotten a hold of me a few times since, wanting to hang out. either he texts when I'm working or he tells me to get at him on my night off and I neglect to do so.

now, like I said, he's a good looking guy, and actually a fairly decent guy too. I know he doesn't have problems finding females that are interested in him. for a fact actually, we're friended on a social site and I've seen females point blank tell him that they wanted to change his single status. he flirts with other chicks. no biggie, I flirt with other guys on there too.

i guess I kinda figured after a week or two of me evading, his interest would wear off. especially since he likes being pursued. but it hasn't yet.

so what I'm wondering is if there's potential it might be more then just a booty call he's after, or if its just some ego thing since I haven't pursued him? like wanting to prove he can hit it twice or something?

from a guy perspective, why would you keep trying if you hook up with a girl, and afterwords she's still friendly and shows some interest, but makes no attempt to get together again... ?

Approximately six months ago, a guy, for whatever reason via Facebook took an interest in me, and after finding out who he was, I welcomed him as my friend. Well, shortly after, he proceeded persistently with pursuing me, and trying to talk to me. At first, I wasn't at the least bit interested, as I did not know him at all, but given the current state I was in, I decided to be open-minded, and give this guy a shot, for all time's sake. Well, he seemed alright, I suppose, but he did lie about his age, and he did pressure me into sending him numerous photos of myself, and I innocently enough, took a chance, and sent him one that was decent, but then he wanted more and more, and again, I was uncomfortable as I did not know him well enough for that...Therefore, I very politely told him that I was not confident that this was working out for the best, so I felt we needed to perhaps, go our separate ways? Months passed by, and he contacted me again, wanting to talk to me via the telephone, and after awhile, I decided to give him another chance, and so I accepted, and for about two weeks we spoke via the telephone, and he seemed to be what I thought was a great guy, and he asked me out, and I said sure, but there were some suspicions, before I close my story. He very frequently, disclosed to me how in-confident and low his self-esteem was, and how he repeatedly claimed that beautiful women would approach him all the time, but that he was unsure to approach them, intimidated, and afraid of trusting them for fear of getting hurt, and so my heart sincerely went out to him, to encourage, console, and lift him up, and help him all together naturally, and so more information that I probably shouldn't have disclosed so prematurely was disclosed when asked or volunteered. The most important thing that I shared with him after he asked me, was that I am a virgin, and waiting for the right guy. I normally wouldn't have shared that so soon with a guy, but I did, and I know it was a mistake. My point is, was he using his sad stories to get me in bed, especially after he discovered I was a virgin or was he good guy? by the way, I finally met him in person on my birthday yesterday, well before our scheduled date or what would have been our date this Friday night, and he kissed me four times passionately, and I didn't feel any sparks or specialness there at all. Mind you it was my very first kiss ever, and it wasn't an awful kiss, but unless I'm crazy, and I am certainly not a lesbian, shouldn't a kiss feel a certain way, especially If you're supposed to be into the guy? I realized that I was not into him at all, and I told him politely and respectfully over the phone, that there wasn't any chemistry there for me, and that I feel we would be better off as friends, and I meant that, because there wasn't any chemistry there, it was just very awkward, and if you're into somebody it should not be, right? Did I make the right decision? Was I wrong for turning him down for our date?

Met a guy this weekend at a Xmas party and had the most amazing night with him. We were instantly attracted to each other and I ended up leaving the party to go to a bar with him and his friend. We danced the night away and ended up making out for a lot of the night. We had great chemistry but were fairly drunk for most of the night. Later in hte night he started suggesting I stay over because I was staying at a friends in another part of the city (but his brother was there and annoying so he also suggested a hotel room). I told him he was being too aggressive and to chill a little because I wasn't sure if that was a good idea. I'm not the type of girl to sleep around and he's a decent guy it seemed. When the bar was closing, I was expecting him to say let's go to my place but instead told me that he doesn't really know me well and that he has a lot of work to do the next day. He apologized for treating me like a whore and that he liked me and didn't know the night would end with us actually liking each other. It was kind of awkward leaving and he thought I was mad at him for not wanting to slep with me (at the time I wanted to since I was drunk but wasn't mad, just confused).

He sends me a text when I get home saying he'll make it up to me. The next day he sends a text saying when can I see you again? I say after the holidays and he's says great and we can hang out then. He's a mutual friend so I heard that he's a good guy but I get the feeling that he just wants some ***. He is very good looking so I really didn't mind if it was just a hook up but he seems like he has a lot going for him so I want to try to make it less of slutty situation. He lives in NYC and is gorgeous so I doubt he has trouble finding someone to sleep with. I live in another state so I don't know why he would want to keep ties with me if it were just a booty cal.

How long should I wait to selep with him to show him that I'm datable? Do guys get turned off once the girl shows she wants to sleep with them? If I don't really hear from him until we hang out is that a sign that he just wants sex? Why would he choose not to sleep with me if he was more drunk by the end of the night and really attracted to me?

Also, if you're attracted to a girl, how long do you wait to contact them/how much do you contact them in the beginning?
