Search Results: getting over an online dating

I joined an online dating site (im 26, female, aussie) and got emails from an aussie man for about 2 weeks. I replied very little as I got a feeling he was too comfortable already, asking me to come to his place to watch a movie. I got the feeling we wanted different things so let it go.

Then he started emailing me again, but stopped asking me to come to his place - just talked about normal things again. After a week and a half of emails I let him have my number.

A few days later he called me and we had an hour long chat. It was great and interesting. He asked if I'd like to catch up sometime but I said I still wasn't sure .

Then after 3 weeks of phonecalls and really getting along like a house on fire, he sent roses, chocolates, perfume and a teddy to my work (I mentioned where I worked when he asked). I was won over by this & agreed to meet him in public.

We met at a restaurant/bar and by the time I got there he was already tipsy. He bought drinks for us both all night and when I offered to buy he wouldn't let me. we talked for an hour and a half and then had a kiss. It was nice.

The date went on for 3 hours in total, he was very enigmatic and energetic. When I felt myself getting tipsy I excused myself and thanked him for a good night. He put me in a cab, but not before asking me to please come home with him to hang out more.

I went home and felt relieved that I kept my boundaries. But then he kept calling and I gave in, I let him come to my place. Regretfully we slept together. I was drunk and he was drunk - it wasn't special. Anyway the next morning he bounced out of bed and seemed high strung. He left at about 10am and I figured I would never ever hear from him again.

He texted me almost immediately and apologized profusely for not letting me just go home alone. He told me he was so smashed he hardly remembered anything. Anyway I felt pretty low but let it be. He asked me if he had 'f&cked things up' and I said no...

Anyway, days of texting passed, he called once or twice...it just wasn't the same...he seemed really stressed when he would call - talking about how his brother is causing troubles again (his brother seems to be immature - part of a gang or something in sydney) and that his brothers friend had lost his 'prime-mover' - a v expensive truck (he has a logistics company). Then I pressed him to find out if he was into me or not cause I don't want excuses - but he told me he was - he just had serious sh*t going on. then he told me they found the truck - with a tip off from his bro - so his bro may have set it up. Anyway it all feels off between us now, I kept pressing him and now he's irritated at me and Haven't heard from him in 3 days after a little text war. so in 2.5 weeks we had one date, a few calls and texts.

I think I acted too desperate after we slept together. Was too keen on another date. I regret that a lot.

After 2 long years of failed dating situations I am in a position with a few guys that I can possibly see myself getting into a serious relationship with. I'm at an age and a point in my life where there's a good chance my next boyfriend will be the man I marry so this choice is freaking me out and obvi the choice is up to me but maybe an outside perspective can help... Who should I pick and why?

A)I was dating this guy 3 months ago & we started to fall for each other fast and instantly had great chemistry & everything was happening way to fast (like exclusive after 3 days of knowing each other and hanging out every day)... He backed off from us, told me he just wasn't into it & I even said to him I think we moved to fast and your just spooked but I know you didn't actually stop liking me... A month later I was right.. He started contacting me again. I told him I wasn't feeling it if he was just going to back off again... & he has actually been showing interest since... we've hung out again after & I know he likes me but needs to move slower than before which is totally understandable. He def has the look I go for and we are very comfortable with each other and can be ourselves.

B) I actually haven't even met this guy yet (it's through online dating) but we've been talking for a few weeks and he's awesome, we're so much alike in so many important ways.. Only reason we haven't met is because he's a surgical med student and I'm also in grad school and we have both been crazy busy with finals over the past few weeks. I feel a connection and we make (mostly him because he's the dude) time to call each other and be in contact like every other day.

C) OK this one I have the most on the line.. We even have a marriage pact.. he has been a close friend for 10 years, he has always admired how silly and playful I am (guys either 100% love this about me or grow to resent this about me) and is the only person I know who is actually funnier and more original than myself but does it the same way that I do and no one else has ever been able to meet me at that level (we use to and still do play awesome good hearted pranks on friends and just come up with silly ideas and we're both the life of the party on the dance floor. He's gotten even better looking with age(he's also incredibly smart and in med school in another country by choice and I'm visiting next week.. he is also moving back near me soon). We have met each others families and they want us to be together ha. We've kissed etc. already and had serious talks about starting a relationship (which would be this spring/ summer), it scares me to date him because this can either be the love of my life or I lose a great friend.

Who do you think I should pick? What should I do?
