I've been with my boyfriend for a little over a year now, and while he can be very sweet at times and was wonderful at the very beginning, I think he's starting to think he can take advantage of me. He's starting to do things that are pretty selfish in my opinion, although I am partially at fault for allowing it.

I recently read a few articles related to the subject of asshole boyfriends, and surprisingly (or not), my boyfriend shared a lot of the qualities in the articles. However, I'm not sure exactly how authentic the articles are. Here are the characteristics he shares:

-He acts different around me when we're with other people, usually more immature and rude.
-He always says that he is "too busy" for me and will choose hanging out with his friends over me sometimes, or will expect me to join them when we already had plans.
-There is always an excuse for why he can't pay. Now, I don't expect for him to pay for me all the time, and he rarely ever has, but I have had to pay for both of us on several occasions. I also drive us everywhere.
-He always "jokes" with rude comments that aren't funny. I am very laid back and usually don't get upset, but he can be really mean.
-It takes forever for him to text me back. Sometimes he will read my messages and never respond, and that includes questions that warrant a response.
-He zones out on conversations way too much. He is always on his phone, usually on YouTube and playing a video over the top of me, and just goes "uh huh" and usually doesn't even remember what I've said.
-He bashes my friends and disapproves of them. He tries to get me to stay away from them.
-It's always what HE wants to do. Even if I can't handle a certain type of food (I have stomach ulcers), it he suggests it for lunch, and we always do whatever he wants. However, he acts like it kills him to do something I want.
-It's never his fault. He likes to turn stuff around on me and never accepts responsibility for his actions.
