I'm considering going to the mall some time in the afternoon when girls are off from school to flirt. I'll pretend to be looking around, and then try to start a conversation with a girl if I find her attractive.

I'm just trying to figure out if this would be really weird/creepy/desperate or not. I mean, people always say you have to go out there and make it happen so I feel like I should try something like this. I'm 18 btw.

OK, so I'm trying very hard to get a girlfriend and to also improve my conversation and flirting skills. So, I was wondering if it would be a good idea or not to try and strike up conversations with girls and public places. I'm not talking about randomly going up to people, I'm talking about if I find myself in a public place around a girl (mall, store, etc), to strike up a conversation, then if the convo goes well to ask for her number.

I mean most of the time you will never see the person again (at least in my area, I live in the suburbs outside a big metropolitan area). Even if you do see them, 9 times out of 10, they won't remember you if it's been a while.
