So, I have two best friends lets call them Emma and Lucy. Emma and I decided to go flatting together,

Emma's situation is, she's living with her parents and wants to wait as long as possible to save up some money before she can move out.

My situation is, I am living with my parents but things are strained. I start a job next week and want to move out as soon as humanly possible.

Lucy in the meanwhile broke up with her boyfriend and is suddenly in need to move to a new place too,

Her situation is, she is devastated, can't live with her parents and at this stage is looking to move out when they can find someone to take over the lease, then she'll have to find somewhere else to live.

so I said I would ask Emma if Lucy could come with us when we looked for a flat,

However, Emma is not happy about this idea at all, and now I have no idea what to do.

I feel like on the one hand, I agreed to go flatting with Emma first, so the right thing to do would just to accept her opinion and work it out from there.

on the other hand, telling Lucy she can't flat with us feels like a huge betrayal, especially given how much she has always had my back, and how much I know she needs support right now, and is in a much tougher situation than Emma, who is basically pretty comfortable at home and has all the time in the world to find a flat, unlike me and Lucy

i know this might all seem trivial...but I really need advice, I just want to do the right thing.
