Search Results: attracting ugly guys

I have only ever been approached by guys I don’t find attractive. Maybe ONCE I was approached by a guy I found cute. He complimented me and didn’t initiate anything else. Every other woman I’ve met has been approached by their husband or boyfriend. I don’t think I’m ugly, I’m actually complimented a good bit. I’ve lost a lot of weight and put effort into my appearance. Dating apps don’t go anywhere. Either lack of interest or consistent response, I typically don’t send messages first anyway. When I do, it goes no where. I feel like everyone I know is capable of attracting a guy they find cute and I refuse to date an ugly guy. I did once and never again.

So, if you’re usually approached by the people you want to date, doesn’t that indicate how desired you are? Versus never being approached or only liked by the people you’d never consider dating. I don’t think I’m ugly, I’m told I’m attractive but have yet to be pursued by a guy I’d actually consider dating.

Doesn’t that mean I’m not attractive?

Literally always. Everyone I know has friends and easily moves into relationships while I’m by myself. And I’m 25. I’ve never had a Valentine or NYE date. I don’t think I’m completely ugly, I’ve been complimented. But always attract guys I don’t find appealing, I don’t think anyone would like these guys.

What gives?

Like I don’t feel, I know. I’ve been single my whole life. I have no friends and never been in a real relationship.

I don’t think I’m ugly or it has to do with my looks. Everyone I know, their partner kind of fell in their lap. No blind dates or apps, it happened naturally.

I’m 25. I’ve tried every app and no luck. People I know met their partners through the apps too though. Like it just doesn’t seem like it will happen at this point. I’m told that it will happen when I least expect it, let it find me etc. And don’t say I’m young, a lot of people meet their HS Sweethearts.

So, I stay to myself and it hasn’t happened yet. You’re telling me that I cannot attract a guy I find physically attractive? I know personality counts but so does looks. Anyone sympathize?

For the love of humanity, I can’t find a guy. On the apps and in person, I’ve always been approached by guys I don’t like. I don’t socialize with people but when I did, there were rare times when a female acquaintance told me their guy friend thought I was pretty or cute etc BUT the guy never initiates anything with me.

For example, I was talking to two guys on an app earlier this week who seemed interesting to talk to (somewhat) and I asked for their height. What happens? They say they’re 5’8, an inch taller than me🙄. I prefer taller guys.

I know now it sounds shallow but you have to understand, I don’t ask for much. I think I can bring a lot to the table and have worked on bettering myself. So... why am I always single? I don’t think I’m ugly and even if I thought I was, I see a lot of ugly people taken. It’s a curse I swear. Dating should not be this hard, it isn’t for other people.
