I've seen a lot of people who aren't very photogenic and look way better in person (me c:) & people who take superb pictures but look like poo in person.

Which category do you fit in?

I feel like I'm pretty good looking based on the guys that I attract but when I take pictures I look pretty ugly and don't look like myself at all. I mean obviously not a completely different person like my hair is still the same color but my friends who guys don't like as much look better than me in photos.

I dislike how some may place a lot of accuracy on an Internet photo.

In few cases, someone is likely to look exactly like their picture upon meeting in person.

In other instances, there are people who know their angles, use the perfect lighting, poses, and they look like supermodels in their photos (until you meet them in person).

They look exactly opposite.

Then there are the people who are just not photogenic. They appear hideous in their photos, but they're absolutely gorgeous in person.

Why do people on the internet put so much energy into determining whether someone is attractive or not by a picture?

You don't always get what you see.

Some photos are misleading.
