I'm seeing a guy again after we broke it off about nine months ago because he had commitment issues left over from a previous long term relationship. we've seen each other three times now, he called me quite a few times during the summer and that's how we got in touch, I finally decided to call him back. everything has been really good, but we haven't had a talk about what we are. I feel like he must know I want a relationship, as that's what I wanted before and the reason things got all screwed up between us, he wasn't ready. He's been very gentlemanly I would say, and even though we have had sex, he doesn't push it and didn't push it when the first time we saw each other I didn't want to. the first time we hung out he told me he likes me (kind of knew that already, he'd been calling all summer) when I asked him what he wanted from me he said he didn't know, which is actually different from the past where he mostly specified very specifically that he did not want a relationship. We've hung out during the day in a park, and been out to dinner twice, after both of those times we did have sex and I stayed over. Last night was the third time we hung out, and I asked him I think twice about whether he had good intentions and he said he did. I hope he wasn't just trying to appease me because that's usually not his style, and he has been clear in the past about not wanting to "hurt me" and whatever when he wasn't ready. So I'm not sure what to make of things, they seem to be going well, but can anyone give me a better read on how things sound? I really want to move toward something committed, but I'm scared to have that talk with him even though we've been having such a great time together.

This is bothering me more than usual because he is my ex and things are kind of tense I guess because we're talking again. he's the one who initiated it, he started calling during the summer and I wouldn't call back, but I finally gave in. we saw each other and had a really great time (no sex, just some kissing, lots of talking but not about anything serious relationship-wise even though he did ask me if I have a boyfriend). I got freaked out at the end and told him I would call him when I was ready. I called him after about a week and a half, he was about to get on a plane (back here after being gone a few days) so he couldn't really talk, but after I wished him a safe flight he told me he would "hit me up" when he got back. That was Monday night. I don't really know how to feel, I know he has a hectic schedule, but I hate waiting to hear from him. When he saw each other before he told me he liked me, without me having to ask if he did. He lives a pretty alternative lifestyle (busy musician) but I just hate how this makes me feel. I definitely don't want to call him before he calls me, but does this sound like he will? so far since getting back in touch he has kept his word.

My bf and i have been dating for 10 months and live together. He was the one that asked me to move in 8 months ago. We have our ups and downs and fight more then other couples dating for this long I'm sure because I have trust issues and I'm insecure. Sometimes I think he doesn't really wanna be with me or cheating on me. Here are the reasons.
1.he can be a jerk when we are out in public like ignore me or not really pay much attention to me
2.He checks out other girls but says I just think it Cuz I don't trust him. (it's not an obvious check out but if i see a girl walk by i will sometimes look at him)
3. He says he wants to get married and have a kid with me.someday. he finishes inside of me and says we will get married within 5 years. But sometimes I don't know if i should believe that by the way he treats me somedays
4. Couple weeks ago he was all loving and even during sex he would ask what position I liked better and he's never asked before. So kinda made me think he was cheating. Then would say I love u more then normal and just being really sweet then the next weeks he was kinda being a jerk again
5. He has talked shit to his friends before say in i smell. Which if i did that bad I don't know why he would stay with me.
6. He has told me I suck in bed and I asked why is he with me then and he said because he loves me and it isn't just all about sex.
7. I've mentioned taking a break before Cuz I get sick of how he is sometimes but he always tells me he doesn't want too and he has even mentioned we go to counseling to help our relationship.

9. Everytime I try n talk to him about our relationship he never likes to talk about it prob Cuz I bring it up almost every night. Only Cuz we never have a good talk about it. And he will just tell me to grow up and start trusting him.
Like I said I have trust issues and have been hurt in the past that's why I think like this.

So about a week ago my bf was all sweet and loving. During sex he would ask what way I liked better which he had never asked that before. Then he would say I love you during sex which he only says that sometimes not sure why it's not all the time. But anyways this week he hasn't been as loving or wanting to cuddle as much. We recently just talked about marriage which it has been brought up before. But he told me it will happen within 5 years. I asked why he is being this way as in loving one week and next it's like he is distant. He said he's not. He has been this way off and on since we been dating and i don't understand how you can be loving one day and the next a jerk. Also when he brought up the marriage thing I asked when he realized he wanted to be with me forever and he said I don't know then first he said 6 months ago and then he said 3 months ago. Then he said when I started to trust him. Could that be true? He use to get mad when I wouldn't trust him.
Does it sound like he really wants to be with me? And why is he like this?
