Does my friends with benefits want something more?

Im on my period and he told me to come over:
- We cuddled the entire day
- He made me lunch, dinner and breakfast
- He was disappointed because he didn't have the time to take me out for a dinner date, he said he wanted to spend more time with me.
- He kissed me every time he looked at me, we made a joke out of it
- When he woke up beside me he told me that he was in bliss
- I asked him if he did this to his other friends with benefits and he said "I tend to avoid girls on their periods. I haven't had period sex in years."

But when I asked him why he was so sweet to me, he just said that he was in a good mood & my random moodiness on my period was cute. And I did try to end our friends with benefits.

I know I care about my friends but because I love my solitude I tend to flake. Not on purpose to hurt anyone but because I fell in the mood at the moment then once I get home. im like hmm this is nice then never meet up with my friends😆🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

im good at picking up shifts in the mood and atmosphere and etc. but the amount of times I've turned out to be wrong about people is crazy.

My boyfriend once told me he was going to kill me and throw me in the Forrest.

Like 2 or 3 years ago...

I got scared and we stopped talking for a long while.

After some time we talked again and he told me he had said those words because he thought he was not good for me and wanted to scare me so that I could get away from him...

now 3 days ago...
we were talking and I asked a question about a girl...

.. He assumed I was “jealous”, which I wasn’t... but I gave him that impression for asking a question and he got mad... saying that I’m too jealous and that I now made his happy mood into a “mean” mood... and then said he wanted to ‘put my naked body on a cactus plant’. 🌵... 😐.. that’s fucking scary!

I stopped talking to him...

and now he calls me crazy saying I’m crazy because I believe that it’s true..
he says I’m crazy to believe that he will go to a store to buy a cactus plant for the sole purpose of putting my naked body on it...

sure, after he puts it like that, he makes me seem like the crazy one...
but im not saying he’ll go buy this plant to do this... I’m saying I’m scared of him for him saying these words...

it implies he can do violent awful things when he’s mad... not precisely going to buy a plant to do what he said, but simply the fact that this nonsense argument provoked him to say these things at all is scary..

what do do you guys think?
I feel I love him but I’m scared...

he didn’t do anything and hasn’t done anything..
but just the fact he said these things scare the heck out of me... like what will happen if one day we get into a real argument... if he gets mad about things I don’t even consider arguments... I don't know how he will react to real arguments..

I don’t want to end up on a dateline or 48hours episode..

am I Overreacting?
