So me and my ex boyfriend broke up a month ago
He broke it off because we were constantly arguing and so he thought we werent compatible and plus he wants to focus on becoming a police (its gonna take about 1 year to finish off the full time course and training)
But we didn't remove each other on social media
A week later he messaged me a long text to apologize about the break up and all
I replied so we are on good terms
He asked me out to movie and dinner on valentines day and even bought me a bouquet of flowers but told me we still can't be together right now and want to be friends
Ever since that day, he has been messaging me more often tho
Last week he called me just to ask how im going , how my work is going , if im going on dates , my weekend plans , etc
But he's usually messaging me about his day , what happened in his day , about his career plans , his course , whats he's doing , etc
He messages me when he's at work , on his lunch break and on weekends
he's always the one initiating contact
I've never reached out to him first since the break up
He send me long texts but i respond with 2 or 3 sentences at most
But i still would hear from him every week
Do you guys think he still has romantic feelings for me or just wants to be friends/being friendly?
Im so confused
I still got strong feelings for him and I dont wanna pretend its fine being friends when I want more
Thats why i stopped replying to his last message today :/
But at the same time I dont wanna lose him

He wanted to focus on pursuing his dream job so he can't give me 100% commitment, time and attention anymore so he had to let me go
But he still wants to remain friends

Then yesterday night, he asked me if he could call me and I said "yeah" coz I thought he had something important to tell me
So he called me straight away
And then we had a 20 minute conversation
He was asking how Im doing, my job, my weekend plans, what I've been upto
And then he was talking about his job and about the career he's pursuing right now and his future plans about it
And then he kept asking me "have u been on going dates? Tell me. I dont care"
And I would just try to avoid that topic because I have been going on dates but Im not gonna tell him that
And then he kept asking me "tell me how many dates youve been on? Are u going on dates this weekend? Just tell me.. i dont care. And I know how you are. you're not like me. All I do is go to work, come home, eat, sleep and then gym and then home again. I know you go out everyday. But if u are going on dates, good luck. Hope u find a guy that can deal with your craziness"
Like why does he keep asking me if im going on dates?
If he doesn't care, then why keep asking and saying all of this?
And why would he randomly want to call me? He wants to see how im doing?
I still have feelings for him and dont wanna lose him but im just frustrated on what he wants!

well, me and this guy have been dating since the end of last year (so a couple of months.) he's moving sometime later this year. however, he broke up with me at the beginning of this year because he thought he was moving sooner but the plan changed and wanted to date again. i like him a lot, and i think he likes me too maybe but i think he might be using me for sex, car rides, etc. i made a heartfelt thing for Valentine's day (i wrote our first date, why i love him, our memories, and one to not open until he moves on different sheets of paper and folded them up and put them in a envelop) and he didn't even pay it any mind. he told me today after we had sex that he didn't want to have sex anymore and really didn't tell me why. then he stated that he'll be "busy" all summer and will spend time with his guy friends before he moves (which i don't mind but i wish i was his priority, i sound like an attention whore). if he does stay in town this winter, he claims he'll probably be too busy to see me then too. i told him whenever he wanted to date again that something like this was going to happen, and either way i'm going to get hurt and i didn't want to deal with it anymore. but, he told me to trust him so i did. i don't know what to do.
