I have been working in the same store as this guy for almost nine months now. We've gotten really close. We don't even work in the same department, but I helped train him on the register and then he went to work in the back of the store on a register back their while I work in the front. But because I was like the only person he knew, he started talking to me. And I would talk to him. We would kinda just find each other for breaks every now and then at first, but now it's progressed to the point where I go back and hang out with him during my breaks every single day. And then on his he'll either take his with me, or if we can't he'll kinda walk back and forth around the registers and tell me to "stop slacking" as he passes by. Sometimes he stops and offers to get me a refill on my drink.

Whenever I go to leave from my break or whatever, he insists on giving me a hug, and even the other day I didn't work and he went up front to look for me. That said, he's engaged to another girl. She doesn't work with us though. Only a couple weeks ago he said that he might be ending it with her because he caught her cheating. I was the first and only person he told this too. We tell each other everything. Only lately he's also been asking for my opinion on things, but those specific things are scenarios like "If you and I were dating..." stuff. And I don't know if that means anything or not. The first time I kinda tossed it out the window, but now he asks almost several questions like that a day.

And he's always trying to help me out. He constantly tries to feed me, and he'll help me reach things. Once I was cold and I was like "IT'S SO COLD!" and he offered me his sweater. The other day I was upset but REALLY sick, and he gave me a hug anyway and said it didn't matter if he got sick if it made me feel better. He even gave me a ride home from work once when I didn't have one.

I feel like all the signs are pointing to yes that he does like me, but he's ENGAGED?

Okay so at my work, there is a guy who works in another department than me. But his is RIGHT next to mine. I am a host on self check out, so a lot of times I look over and he's just over there stocking. He's SUPER cute, but he ALWAYS looks like he's brooding, and I've only ever seen him talk to one guy who works with him and I figure that's because he has too. Me and my best friend though were sorta playing a game. This guy goes to the bathroom a lot (I do too, mostly to use my phone), so me and my friend would try to see his name tag every time he walked by because at first we didn't know his name. When we figured it out, we were like "I wonder what color his eyes are" and so the challenge began. Now for awhile, literally every time this guy passed me and my friend, we'd just start giggling. We're silly teenage girls, I know. And it got to the point where finally he noticed that every time HE passed, we were giggling. So he'd glance over and kinda like do this smirk, but just HARDLY. It's so friggin adorable.

Then TODAY, I was just walking to the break room and he stepped out of another aisle and I almost hit him but I stopped like just in time and I went "WELL THAT COULD HAVE BEEN BAD! Oh hey it's you! Who are you? I see you over there all the time! But I don't know- just who are you?" And he actually grinned at me and introduced himself, then asked my name. Asked me twice even to make sure he had it right. He's got the best voice just EVER. And then we went our separate ways. I saw him later on when I was making my rounds of claims, and he WAVED at me. The guy who never smiles at anyone actually gave me a small little wave. Do you think I've made him a little interested? Or am I reading too into it? I'm just surprised because usually people tell me I'm a lot to handle at first. But this dude just took my crazy in stride. Which makes me want him more tbh xD

Okay, I've always thought I was terrible at flirting. I was talking with my boss the other night about the guy I like (my boss is only 3 years older than me, and we work retail. He's more of a friend to me than anything.) And he was asking if I'd tried to make any moves on the guy, and I was like "Yeah, all the time." And then I told him how I flirted, and he laughed and was like "I like your style." But I don't know if he was joking or not.
I'm SUPER blunt and obvious. I ran up to the guy I liked, and was like "HEY! -his name- I have a question!" I ran over and asked if he had a pet. Mind you this was totally random, and he was actually walking past and had passed me when I called out to him then ran over. He said no, and I was like "Oh, you seem like a cat person." We talked a minute and he left. The next day, I ran over to him and did the same thing, only this time I went "Are you right handed or left handed?" and we talked VERY briefly because a customer walked over. But he seemed like he wanted to keep talking. Another day he'd gotten his hair cut, I ran over and was like "You got rid of all your hair!" because he'd gotten it shaved, and he goes "yeah it was just getting kinda long and I'm pretty low maintenance" and I was like "Oh, we'll you're as handsome as ever!" He blushed and kinda looked at the ground for a second then was like "Oh, thank you" and then I ran away. The other day I asked him another question, this time his age while we were walking around his department (I think I was skipping a little... I don't know, I just have a lot of energy.) and he made me play a guessing game that made him laugh, then when I had to leave because my break was over, even though then we were with another of my friends because he works with the guy I like, I looked right at my crush and went "Oh I have to leave! I hope I see you later!" and then ran away.
Is this annoying, or a good way to flirt? I'm almost certain he knows I like him, but he seems amused by me at least.

Me and my boyfriend are working in the same store, but currently I work in a waaay different department and I'm lucky if I get glimpses of him throughout the day. He used to swing by to say hi as he would go to lunch or something, but he's not supposed to do that so it's not often. Like it's not allowed to be a habit. But the thing is, is that I HAAATE my job. There are days I literally wanna break down. Because in my particular job I stand in the same spot, all day, but I'm also in front of people all day, and having to just deal with a line of people. All. Day. Long. It NEVER stops. That said, my boyfriend works back in Automotives, like he's a car mechanic back there. I know some of the people back there, of course there's only one woman (and she only works like 3 days out of the week), but that department's sort of "secretary" guy is moving to the back to work on the cars, and he's highly recommended me to take his position, AND two of the under managers like me, and have suggested I work back there. Now the head of the department has officially offered me the job if I want it. It's a dollar raise, and my boyfriend has been wanting me to transfer back there for awhile. Plus I just like cars. Like I won't be working on them, but I'll know enough to get by over there when people have questions. And for the ones I don't know, I am allowed to ask the actual mechanics.

Now the problem is, is that I'm worried about working so closely with my boyfriend. We've got a pretty solid relationship, but I'm worried that being around him all the time might change that since we'd be co-workers? Should I still take the opportunity? It is a small raise.

I work as a cashier in a large store. Now us cashiers in my experience, we're around each other all day almost every day, there's a lot of us, and little time to leave our section of the store. Other departments tend to have only one or two people in a department in any given day, and they are spaced out to get different areas of their department done. What I'm getting at, is that the cashiers, we become fairly close, but also get kinda cliquey at times. And by that, I mean, the cashiers RARELY speak to anyone else from around the store. We also have a tendency to be gossipy... even the cashier guys. Or well, the ones who stick around. It's mostly women, there are only four boys.
Anyway, when someone upsets someone whose already apart of the cashier "group" that person starts telling people, and then those people tell others, and soon enough, they're kinda iced out. Even more so when that person comes off as rude. Shy we can handle, condescending, no.
That said, when word gets out that people are getting fired, it spreads like wild fire. Only it seems to be the cashiers who know, not anyone else in the store. Now there is a rumor that three cashiers are getting fired. We don't know who two of them are, but we're all 99% sure that it's one girl who most everyone dislikes. Which is kinda sad, she's very sweet and all. But she's got all these "mental illnesses", now the real problem with that, is that it's caused her to call out multiple times, and the other day she just left work without telling anyone because she "got overwhelmed". Cashiers give each other breaks. Which means she messed up EVERYONE'S schedule by doing that. Mind you we were already irked with her because she got pissy with another cashier for refusing to date her friend who was being overly attached and pushy after they'd been set up on one single blind date. And then the latest guy to get fired we were all kinda relieved to go because he wasn't doing his work anyway. And had a bad attitude.
