My boyfriend never had a good relationship with his parents and basically wants nothing to do with them. It was his birthday yesterday and he turned 17. His mom kept calling me a girl, she/her & my deadname/given name. I found that disrespectful. But I acted nice since it was my boyfriend's birthday. When he went to go to the washroom, she told me "I would like to call you by your given name, it's so beautiful & since you're pregnant, of course your a female" yet I have a transgender friend I know who works with her at a restaurant and she calls him; his preference name. Another thing is let's say someone name was Ken but they rather be called Kennedy (since I don't want to give out his name). His mom kept saying "Ken" when he would prefer "Kennedy" and she object to the idea of calling him that. Which he would fight with her all the way to the place in the car. His dad doesn't like it either but he at least calls me Damien. I may be pregnant but I don't ever consider myself a mother to it since that a female term for a women. I consider myself a caregiver instead or a parent or a father. My boyfriend will say you are " a motherly father ". But since I haven't had surgery (from not being old enough to afford it) and my parents are against abortion. I'm being mature, keeping the baby and holding off on my transition. Putting the baby needs over mine is what I say. But I don't see how that makes me a girl when I've seen trans man have babies since they want their own and still consider themselves a male. Everyone has their own opinion, and I never planned on having a child, maybe adoption when I was older. But even being pregnant I consider myself a male, just my body isn't until further notice. I wear binders still until it going to make my chest sore. Then I'll have to start wearing sports bras, not actually bras. But I'm going to wear male clothes throughout this time. His mom just doesn't help with her opinions, which I find mean since she's full-on Christian.

Ok so I have two younger cousins who were ages 3 and 4 when their dad (my ex uncle) left and cheated on their mom (my aunt). Parents have done joint custody ever since, they are ages 7 and 8 now and probably shifting from one house to another every 2 weeks is something they more or less seem to be born with as they probably only have very vague memories of their parents once living in the same house.
They have one older sister who is 13 now (was 8 when her parents slip up so she obviously has much more memories of her family once being whole and tbh she has a really good memory in general).

So the 13yo eventually ended up putting two and two together and realizing that she knows why her parents separated suddenly (because her dad had an affair). Over the last year or so she has had a lot of Issues with her dad and anger towards him with regards to everything that’s happened in the last 5 years of her life. She dose not want anything to do with her dad, she wishes she can permanently stay at her moms place but her mom dose not think she is responsible enough to stay by herself overnight regularly when her mom is on night shifts so she will have to stick with the joint custody for the meantime until her mom feels she is responsible enough.

So my question was, what are your opinions on how the 7&8 year old’s relationship with their dad will be as a teenager once they too realize that the reason why their mom and dad split when the were so young is because their dad left and had an affair? I imagine they won’t have nearly as much anger as their 13yo sister since they were a lot younger when their parents split but nonetheless, just was hoping to seek seek of your opinions.
