I am friends and have a crush on this girl I work with. Her behavior can be hot and cold with me. Some days she's very talkative to me however the last few days she's been fine with everyone else but pretty much ignoring me. Although when I was upset she said she's always there if I need to talk.

Another colleague is trying to set her up with someone else. It's like I've been punched in the stomach. It hurts me bad. Which solution do you think will work best? I determined to fight for what I want before moving on!

Or are there any other suggestions?

Here's my story:

I have been in a long distance relationship with this girl for almost a year now. We were friends before we dated, and needless to say, there were several parts of her that i didn't like as a friend. But i have come to like her (and love her) ever since we dated, however, It seems like there are more pressing "red flags" that are resurfacing.

1. She's hella insecure. She cries a lot. Has a lot of hate from the past that she can't let go. She doesn't think she's pretty (although i always tell her), She thinks she won't go far in this world, She thinks she sucks as a person generally.

2. She's pretty immature. We're 4 years apart, I'm a young professional; I work full time and have my own business. She's still in college, and an only child. She has a loooot of issues. I don't think we synch because of the differences in maturity. I'm pretty independent, I always travel, although i'm an introvert, i make it so that i can at least talk to people. She's pretty much a social recluse, and sometimes i feel like she hates everybody. And sometimes i'm taking on the role of the big brother, and she, the spoiled little sister.

3. She's not very smart. I myslef am pretty big on social issues, political, environmental, etc. But i can't have meaningful conversations with her at the least. She doesn't have much to say about anything that involves logical critical thinking. Sometimes it drives me nuts.

Aside all that though, she's really caring and pretty sweet. By far, she's been the best girlfriend i had and i love her to bits. She always showers me with hugs and kisses, and love i just can;t get enough of.

Should I stay with her? or would these "red flags" be a problem if we started living together? I really need your help. Thanks a lot!

First girl works as a critical care physician. 7 day weeks, 14 hour days. Has a cold professional, extremely intelligent side and is exceptionally passionate and feminine on occasional day off, but is usually tired. She is highly opinionated, and if you annoy her, she gets passionately angry where the only solution is to back down. Her career is above all. You take care of her, but she makes 400k/yr. However, in any medical emergency of course, she knows exactly what to do. 9/10 in appearance.

Second girl is a store manager. 5 day weeks, 8 hour days. Usually bubbly and happy-go-lucky, she is the girl next door type. She is less opinionated, and you can argue with her with little and annoy her a little. You are number 1 in her life along with her family. She can take care of you. 50k/yr income, 9/10 in appearance.

When I'm crushing on a girl, I'm in my feels for her and many things she does makes me smile. However once she likes me back and starts flirting back, touching me, and sending constant selfies; I can't help but feel like I'm in control and I notice more of her flaws that I've never noticed before. And this sudden change in behavior of mines makes me worry before entering a relationship.

Does anyone else experience this change in behavior or am I just fucked up?
