We've all thought about just ignoring the one we really like so that way they like us more, right? Not talking to the person that matters most to us will obviously spark more conversation. The chase makes it more adventurous and fun, and totally doesn't annoy anyone in the process. Why bother with telling them how we feel? I'm obviously too good for that. There's no reason to just ask them on a coffee date, when we could simply just wave our asses in their face and hope they get the jist. If you see them text you, there's no need for an actual response, just say "K" they'll still like you anyway. If it's something really important, I might do something special like for example if she said "HELP my house is burnt down!" I might say "okay." I'm not needy enough for phone calls anyway, so why bother picking up when I could just listen to your voicemail instead. They want to go see a movie with me? Oh how wonderful! I guess I'll just go see it myself, and then wait for them inside. I'm sure they'll show up before the commercials end. They want to go to the gym? Awesome! I'll bring my hot friend that works out all the time to show them what could happen if it doesn't work out between us. We're only friends for now anyway, so it doesn't matter. If they want to go to the dance, there's no reason to ask them. They're going to be there anyway, so I can just sit there until they say something. Overall, it's not worth the time and effort to establish an actual relationship, so let's just play hard to get. What would you all do?

So as I browse threw posts on here I tend to ignore some things from time to time. I consider myself to be an old soul and find I tend to feel differently then the masses on many topics. I also find that I will take the side of a debate that no one else seems to be taking even if I don't agree with that side of the argument just to spark healthy intellectual conversation and many dig out some deeper perspective.
That said I came across a post today and yesterday in which the poster referred to emotional cheating. Maybe it is one of the reasons listed prior but as I read this I felt as though I was in the twilight zone or something. I personally believe that the act of cheating requires an actual act. A persons thoughts are their own private property and we should be free to think however we wish about whatever we wish. I have many times in my life thought about something and never acted on the thought. I am currently on a diet trying to lose a few pounds. Just yesterday I was at the store shopping for vegetables and passed by the ice cream isle and thought to myself "man I would run a train on that chunky chocolate chip ice cream, om nom nom nom." I then walked the rest of the isle grabbed my carrots and sweet potatoes and proceeded to the cash register and left.
So my question is this; Did I just cheat on my diet by thinking of the oh so sweet ice cream and the dirty things I would do to it if I had it in my life? Does this mean that if in a relationship I can not think that the cashier at the store has brilliant blue eyes (like crystal blue) without violating my relationship with my partner? Should we be punished when no crime has been committed just for thinking about it?
